Arrived yesterday and tested today. Pleasantly surprised. I cut up some scrap pine and hardwood and used a fire starter and pellet grill pellets to start. Puts out a little heat, smokes a little when initially starting and needs to be fed to keep going. Burns out in a short time when done by not adding wood. Needs supervision but can be safely put near furniture and other items. Would make a great gift for outdoorsy people. I will definitely gift some.

Great for s'mores
Have had it for a few days now and I already love it as do the kids great for making s'mores. Can't beat the price. I have been burning wood pellets and once you get it going it is almost completely smokeless.
