I purchased this camera last December during a price drop, but I only recently mounted it on the wall, and I'm deeply regretting not doing it earlier. Initially, it seemed to work fine for the first couple of weeks, but then the focus started failing. I’ve had to manually refocus the camera every morning for a while but now, the situation has worsened—I can't even adjust the focus manually any more. The focus scroll bar has maxed out, leaving no room for further adjustments. I pressed the reset button and all became well again, for a whole week, then it went back to its old ways.29th Sep 2024 Update to my original review: Like some other reviewers, I initially had trouble with the automatic focusing. However, it turned out to be a simple firmware issue. After updating both the NVR and the cameras, everything worked perfectly. The Reolink aftersales team was incredibly helpful in identifying and resolving the problem.

Camera works great but had some issues interfacing to blueiris software.Reolink support are awesome, 10/10 for everything.All is working perfectly now.

It has a great picture and incredible zoom.It is let down by its motor noise and the fact that it is not smooth to pan/tilt and generally focus on something. It seems to want to hunt around for focus and takes a few seconds by which time the object may have moved away. But over-all, pretty useful and does not require any subscription. Recordings can be saved to your own NAS storage such as Synology.

This product is excellent quality, almost has everything. Would wish for a slightly wider view, but that is personal preference

I first bought a reolink camera due to the look it was a Duo 2 which to me just looked funny at the time I did not know that it would not work with my poe nvr which was not from reolink but I was first thinking of returning the camera but in the end I just bought a Reolink nvr which was a 8 camera unit, I all ready had a none reolink camera system but as I first looked at the picture from the duo camera and compared it to the picturs of my other camera's I could not believe the difference between them and then I decided that I would replace my whole system which I first started with the duo 2 then I bought a 16 x poe ptz which was great (I will attach some photos from this morning) in the end I now have 1 of the reolink duo 2, 1 of reolink duo 3 which has twice the resolution of the duo 2, 2 of 16 times ptz (pan tilt zoom) and one of the reolink 36 camera video recorders with 2 of 1 in 4 out network poe switch's which has 1 16TB hard drive plus 1 8 TB hard drives the recorder can have up to 3 16TB hard drive's, the two i have installed can record several months worth of recording before they need to record over the old video, i have showed several friends what the cameras pick up and the quality of the recordings and several of them have replaced their systems with reolink systems plus i have replaced a friend's cameras and recorder which was easy to do using the old cables. If you are thinking of fitting a cctv system then you will be happy with reolink. The photos I have attached are from my reolink 16x zoom camera from the rear of my house I took one at every 3 clicks of the zoom from zero zoom up to 16 times zoom it is looking at a bird box in the garden of the house 8 doors along the street the zoom is totally optical and no digital zoom.

first picture what you wake up to.second picture is auto focus....this is manual focus.....every morning have to manual focus.not particularly great....

I wanted a camera capable of monitoring the garden works well especially tracking feature

This camera takes an SD card for immediate recording and has the option of using PoE for its power source and connectivity. You can easily mask the areas that you don't want to be trigger points and the camera is on duty 24/7. The clarity of what is captured is where this model excels. The end result is that you have a very clear image to consider if necessary
