I have a son who also swims competitively and needs to keep eardrum dry after recent surgery. Can you tell me what worked best? He has custom ear plugs and silicone cap pulls out plugs. Wondering if ULTRA band it worn over plugs is enough OR he needs to wear plugs, ULTRA band it and then cap.

Q: My 2 1/2 year old daughter is getting tubes. Water can't get in her ears, do i need to put ear plugs with headband for bath when I wash her hair?

I usually just use the band when I wash my son’s hair and use the plugs with the head band when I know he is going to be submerged in water (in the pool)
