I'm the kind of guy who likes to barbecue all year long. For years I've dragged my grill to the kitchen window in the winter months so I could see the meat while cooking. I never even thought that there my be a light fixture specifically designed for grilling.I came across the Vega Barbecue Grill Light while browsing on Amazon one day and had to buy it. This thing is great. It has a clamp with a metal base that the magnet sticks to. The magnet is very strong and holds the light firmly in place. I found a spot on top of the pellet bin on my Traeger to stick the magnet to and it works like a charm.The light comes with 2 AA batteries and a power adapter for use with an AC outlet. The bright LED light and flexible neck makes it easy to shine the light right where you need it. The unit also comes with a user's manual though it's not really needed. The light is simple to use.I did have one small drawback with the unit. I had a hard time getting the batteries installed into the battery case. I noticed that one of the small phillips head screws was not all the way flush with the surface. After tightening the screw I was able to install the batteries.This is a really cool and useful gadget. As long as you have power near your grill, this light works great. It's bright, has a really strong magnet for attaching it to the grill, and it has a clamp if the magnet won't work for your setup. It's great for me because it allows me to grill after dark. That's not usually a problem during the summer, but it will sure come in handy the rest of the year.One problem I had was with the battery compartment. The batteries would not fit right. I finally forced them in, but then the door to the compartment wouldn't close. I had my wife try and she couldn't get the batteries in even when she tried to force them. There is either an issue with the design or there is a quality control problem. I sent the first one back, but the one I got back from Amazon had the same issue. If you're looking for a battery powered light, I wouldn't recommend it (unless the get the issue resolved).

First problem was the battery compartment. I had to fight to get the batteries to fit into the battery compartment. Then the lid would not stay shut. Luckily this comes with an AC adapter. I didn't intend to use it with batteries.Second problem is when mounted it wants to swivel around on its own at the base. I taped that. Then the gooseneck swiveled around. I taped that too. The goosenect itself is strong enough to keep its shape. It does have a nice strong magnet so you can mount it in any direction.So it is a good bright light as long as you don't want to use it with batteries and don't want it to point in a direction other than down.

I've wanted a grill light for some time but could not decide which one to get. There are so many different styles. I finally bought one and I love it. It's much more heavy duty than I expected for the price. The magnet is a monster. It really holds on. I'm using the batteries instead of the plug in adapter. It came with both. The light has a flexible neck so that you can position it wherever you want it. I love this thing. I can see my food! In winter, I'm usually cooking after the sun goes down. There's a light on the patio, but I cast a shadow over the food when I'm cooking. This light is just what I needed. I'm posting photos. No flash...just grill light. You can see part of it in the upper right corner of one of the photos. In case you were wondering, the ribs were awesome.

The Vega barbecue grill led light came delivered in a padded envelope. The box was somewhat crushed so if you're considering this as a gift for someone, that might be a concern. It gives off a decent amount of light using two AAA batteries which you'll have to provide yourself. It has a pretty strong magnetic base allowing you to mount it to most metal surfaces. I did find however that the flexible neck didn't always stay in the position I placed it in. Rather, sometimes it would droop and I'd have to rebend it into another position to make it stay. This happened at least a couple of times causing some frustration. All in all, I do think this product is good but not great. Your experience may be different though.

I was pleasantly surprised by the durable construction of the product. The flexible neck moves freely to create the ideal position for your needs. The magnet is solid and holds the light well. As far as light goes - it gave ample light using the batteries provided for me to grill at night and tell when the food was done. I did have to work the batteries in the compartment a couple of times before I could get the cover back on it. It just took some repositioning. Overall, excellent product if you are in the market for a grill light.

Innovative screw-on clamp where you attach it to the any surface, and you attach the neck to with light to it. Neck is very flexible you can adjust it any way you want to. The power plug is well hidden, but it is just below the power button covered with rubber covering to shield it from elements when outside. My wife took it from me and starting to use this light with the her sawing machine.

Very nice light. A couple of things though that are incorrect in product description. Description says take 3 batteries and received 4 in package but product only uses 2. That's ok now I have extra. also description says zoom capable wide or narrow beam. It has a knurled nut but when you turn it only unscrews but no effect on the light.
