these are great starter throwing axes. i throw daily and have had these for over a month. i have hit the blades together and i have stuck one to the back of the other twice, and deep, and no problem i can still use them. i have used other throwing axes/ tomahawks and have returned them all next day with broken handles and many dont sell replacement handles.they are pricey but you do get what you pay for.replacement handles are cheap if you need them.

Ordered a few of these to practice my throwing. Heard interesting claims from the company. I set up a target and had my brother who'd never thrown a hatchet before play around. They stick at almost any angle. Even the dull rear spike hits. It's a great design because it can help you determine over rotation or how much distance you need to adjust from the target. Good times. Works great as a throwing hatchet. It looks bigger in the pictures than it is in real life. Weight feels good in the hand. The handle being all plastic can get really slick especially when wet or when mud gets in the grooves. I picked up an extra handle when I ordered it and I’m glad I did because the first one already broke. I believe it was user error because the hatchet was being thrown against a hard wood surface not meant for target practice. Would be nice if there was a “premium” handle option made from a stronger material and with more grip.It works well enough for traditional hatcheting but the aggressive back spike can be dangerous when you’re on the back swing bringing it towards your face. I tend to lean farther to the side to avoid it than I normally would with a regular hatchet. Anyway it looks cool. I purchased this hatchet on their website not on Amazon.Bring back the nomad and bugout knives!
