Needs practice, but magic when it works!
I was quite good at seeing the 3D images printed in newspapers years ago, but it still took *a lot* of staring before I could see these. It was well worthwhile - it really is magical to see the card's value displayed in glorious 3D, quite apart from the potential for X-ray vision and mind-reading tricks. The pack comes with instuctions on how to set about seeing the 3D images. I did not have the instructions because I started by staring into a sample card included with a different pack of Cheatwell cards. I stared and I stared ... eventually the magic was revealed. I was so impressed I bought the Magic 3D pack.I really did have to stare, blinking ruined the 3D effect, even when I had glimpsed it. I found it easiest to see the 3D image in good light and with the card laid flat on a table with my elbows on the table (to fix the distance of my eyes from the card). Then it was just a question of staring through the card, letting my eyes drift out of focus.I am beginning to find it easier to see the 3D images now - once I have done one, I can tune-in to others quite quickly. I can also blink and move my head without losing the image. But every time I come back to the cards after a break, it takes a while to regain my 3D focus. I am sure this is just a question of practice. The information revealed in 3D on the back of a card tells you its value; it does not show an image of the whole card, just a number or letter and a symbol for the suit. Although the face of each card is like normal playing cards, the same either way up, the back of the cards has a right way up and a wrong way up. So you can end up reading in 3D and upside down. Just looking normally at the pattern on the back of the cards, you can see the difference between the right and wrong way up - the bottom of the card has the greensish line of pattern closest to the edge of the card. These cards are great - and a lot of fun. Recommended for budding magicians who have the patience to stare and practice. The tin is quite neat too - though I'm not sure how robust the spring and plastic closing will be. The cards themselves are good quality and feel right - you could just play cards with them (if your fellow players do not have the magic 3D stare!).

NOT GOOD
I don't think these were a good product. If I used these it would be so obvious what I was doing! Returned!!

Great product
The cards are smaller and stuffer than standard cards but they soon loosen up.Fun and reasonably priced.

They are a novelty at best.
I was really unimpressed when I opened them up, the cards are very thick, almost twice as thick as normal playing cards and smaller than regular cards, the marking on them is so obvious if you can see 3D pictures i.e. “Magic Eye Pictures”However you can't use them as marked card in a game unless it's poker and there is a “river” face down on the table, as you need to see the Whole back of the card or you can't see anything at all, also you would have to be able to see the 3D pics very quickly, hence why I call them a novelty.

Too small cards and too difficult to read sterogram.
Unfortunately these are smaller than regular playing cards. So they aren't ideal for poker nor tricks. The backs have a sterogram image which secretly reveals the cards suit and value. But, the image needs a lot of light and very good eyes to see it. It can take a minute or two to see it despite me seeing regular sterogram posters easily! The card image needs to be brighter and bigger and the cards need to be regular size.Overal I'm disappointed.

Does exactly what it says on the tin.
The cards do exactly what they say on the tin and the magic eye pictures are really clear. I don't know if this is the same for everybody but I do struggle to use the magic eye if it's on a reflective surface. Good quality card, clearly printed and they come in a cute tin to keep them together. If I was to find a fault it would be that they're difficult to shuffle because the card is really stiff but I'm assuming that will improve with use. Great product, good price, great quality. I highly recommend.

Good for kids
These are interesting little cards which we bought for use as ordinary playing cards. The addition of the 3D pattern on the back is more of a fun thing than a speciality but should appeal to children.

Great effect, crap quality
The magic eye effect is fantastic but the quality of the cards is pretty awful. They basically feel like a stack of business cards, very difficult to shuffle or fan the cards. Would be very easy to damage them, this ruining any attempt at a magic trick. The tin that holds them is actually pretty nice, but doesn't make me feel any better about the crap cards.

The cards arrived earlier then expected and they were in perfect condition, the only problem I had is the cards are smaller the regular cards and they aren't the best quality.

Nice effect but cheaply made
The 3d effects are nice, need some learning time to figure them out, otherwise the cards are cheaply made, the box too.
