Honeywell TL7235A1003 Line Volt Pro Non-Programmable Digital Thermostat with Electronic Temperature Control, 240-Volt (Pack of 2)

I purchased 4 of these to replace 30 year old wall mounted, mechanical thermostats for baseboard heaters in our vacation home. Our electric bills were climbing due to energy usage caused by the inaccurate older thermostats. These are double pole thermostats that in a 120v application need both the hot and the neutral lines connected to operate the electronics (there is no battery required). In the event of a power failure, when power is restored these stats will return to their set temperature. I installed the first two in the largest zones in the house and found these to be easy to read without my cheaters, amazingly accurate and dead quiet, achieving and holding the temperature in the room to within 1 degree. They are backlit when a button is touched and the go dark after a few seconds - the display is still readable, just not backlit. There is an off switch for the stat for the summer months. These are well made, easy to install and the price is reasonable. Overall, I should save the cost of these in just a few months.

Simple yet sexy looking . Simple installation 2 wires to load (heating coils) and 2 wires for 240vac. Note: Identify the two wires 220-240vac first, before turning the power off at the Circut breaker box. install wires as shown in the diagram on the back of the new Honeywell unit. DONE! turn the power back on and you're done. Couldn't be easier :-)) Capt. Rob

These are really nice. I purchased 14 of these for the house as we had a mismatch of dial thermostats that where any where from 20 to 30 years old and didn't work properly. I had to call an electrician to install as I am by no means one. I tried to hook up 3 and none of them worked, it was the wiring in the house. they have been installed now for 4 days and they are working great. I like the 5 levels of heat the rooms are staying comfortable unlike the old ones that would kick on heat the room up and then shut off and then the room would get chilled and they would kick on again. My mother, who is 81 and suffered a stroke, really likes than as they are digital and easy to read and use. I would definitely recommend these to anyone looking to replace thermostats. Electrician said these where good thermostats also so that made me feel good that I purchased these.

I used these in my cabin - no complaints - they do the job and have been in use for almost 10 years. Recently repurchased to replace thermostats in my son’s condo. Unfortunately, they’re surprisingly small, which I like, but it leaves a gap when replacing older thermostats. I’ve searched for a flange to widen the footprint, but can’t seem to find anything that works and looks reasonable.

We replaced our baseboard registers in a couple of rooms - I also wanted to replace the old knob style thermostat. After speaking with our electrician I decided to go with the simple and straight forward model. Easy to use.

These are excellent thermostats! I wish the description would list the product features though. For baseboard heaters, these thermostats will "throttle" the output to the heater to adjust the heat output which is an excellent feature! They very precisely control the heat instead of simply turning the heater on and off. I believe there are 5 different heating levels. I have NO idea why the seller doesn't list this feature in the description!?!?! Probably one of the most desirable and accurate thermostats money can buy! One note, the adjustable heat output does not work for fan driven wall heaters simply because of the fan. I gather these units will work with wall heaters and they must be able to sense the fan and simply turn on and off. Smart units!

As expected, nice product good price.

It appears to be very accurate, it's not silent like it says but I'm ok with the click noise every time it turns on and off, I have 4 of these through my house and all 4 do the same thing, so I assume it's normal. Other than that, we had a few questions on installing it but took a picky guess and didn't fry the thermostat, it works great. No complaints other than wish the instructions were dummy proof.
