TRENDnet 1-Port Print Server TE100-P1U

Nachdem ich mehrere Print Server probiert habe waren alle von TP-Link eine Entäuschung weil bei Druck die Kommunikation zwischen Drucker und Printserver nicht funktionierte, aber mit diesem klappte es auf anhieb mit dem Canon IP3600 unter Windows 7. Übrigens wird das neuere Model ausgeliefert, was wesentlich besser aussieht als das Artikelfoto :-)

Excellent print server. Installation was a bit of a pain because the default address conflicted with something else on my network and I had to connect to it off the network using a spare hub to reset the address. I suggest "pinging" the default address before you try to install the unit to make sure it's free. Too bad it doesn't support two USB printers in the same sized unit.

l'utilise windows 7 x64, j'ai été obligé d'aller sur le site de Trendnet pour télécharger la mise à jour du logiciel d'installation pour windows 7. téléchargement facile et très rapide, puis installation suivant le guide, en français et très clair. ouverture du colis, téléchargement du logiciel, puis installation : 15 minutes max ! et ça fonctionne nickel ! j'ai maintenant une imprimante réseau grâce à ce serveur d'impression !

les déconnexions sont mal géré par ce périphérique (genre votre box qui reboot), de même, l'interface d'administration est plutôt succincte et l'accès par le navigateur nécessite pas mal de refresh pour avoir le tout tellement le serveur web intégré au périphérique est poussif !

I have a HP 1020 Laserjet and it is listed as being compatible so I gave it a shot. Well, after spending a couple of hours trying to get this to work, I finally gave up and returned it. I was able to see it on my network and installed all the applications just fine but my printer status always showed "offline" and after doing more research I found out that my printer isn't compatible as it's not a "HOST" type printer. I emailed Trendnet support and never received a response either, nice huh? I guess you get what you pay for, made in China electronics typically are half rate and so is their support. I ended up installing new HP drivers and was able to share my printer using the Win7 Homegroup services and so far, so good. I'll never purchase a Trendnet product again.
