Best game for kids we've ever played
I've played dozens of games with my son and he mostly enjoys them (Camel Up, Hey That's My Fish, Bohnanza, Dungeonquest, Ghost Fightin' Treasure Hunters, Saboteur, Loot etc.). This blows them all away and it's the only game he talks about. His only regret is that we didn't buy it a year sooner. It's the only game he keeps asking to play. If you have any kids in the age 8-12 sort of region, just buy it. If you're a lapsed roleplayer with kids, just buy it.

Not just for kids....a different style fantasy dungeon crawler!
Been collecting tabletop games for a while so I have played a few dungeon crawlers to say that this one is a fun game. If you want to play this but concerned about it being a family game: as long as you like Pixar films, enjoy a bit of reading and like battling monsters then go for it!

Stunning
First copy came and was missing a piece, the company would have taken 6 weeks to send a new so amazon sent a same day replacement. The game is stunning, the art is incredible and the figures are really fun to paint.

Beautiful writing but a massive amount of components.
Bought this to play with my little boy, and although the writing, artwork and components themselves are all amazing; the amount of components in the game makes setup fairly complex. It’s just a bit much for a 7 year old IMHO. I do think we’ll probably enjoy it in a couple of years though so I’m happy for it to take up space on the games shelf for the time being. Again - the writing and art really are quite stunning, so if you have older kids (10 to 12 years old) I do think this could be a winner. 3.5 stars for now but I suspect I could rewrite a much better review in a couple of years… Now to try ‘What Next?’

Charming family adventure game
I really like this game, the theme and characters are adorable, the production quality is excellent and the writing is fantastic. My child is in Year 3 so the perfect age for the level of complexity and the story is not too childish despite the 'child's first night in her big bed' theme of story 1. The NPCs on the cards are really fun and my child loves upgrading his character with new weapons (elastic bands) and armour (a teapot). My only issue was that the rulebook isn't easy to dip in and out of and some rules are deliberately vague on occasion to foster house rules and imagination - which my analytical brain found difficult but my child has no problem with at all! I recommend making time to read the rulebook and to watch a how to play video before sitting down with your child so you're not learning on the fly.

Whimsical new genre of Boardgame/RPG
Truly unique adventure it takes elements of RPG and Boardgaming to create a sub genre perfectly. It is a whimsical theme that can be for a family or adults it doesnt dumb down for young players or overly rules heavy for adults. The playmat is the story book so you play this STORYBOOK game via the actual book as the board. As you succeed or dont you get to travel to different parts of the book! My fave BG of all time.

the game is actually fun to play, it has a littlr bit more dialogue and story than I would reccomend, but still pretty fun to play. game rules are somehow obvious if you habe previously played some rpg dungeon game before, rule book could have a revamp or some description; instead there are QR codes for some rules whixh lead to explanation videos whixh is pretty helpful actually. get it for christmas with your kids.
