It's a good design idea
I purchased this to use with my phone and with my laptop (macbook pro with USB-C). Since the design is a solid, tight oval, it's really hard to plug it into the phone and the computer, because the reader loops back over the device when you plug it in. I'm able to plug it into my laptop without a problem, but it does come up over the top of the computer. I can't plug it into my phone at all - my phone case rises 2mm up from the phone, and this reader can't plug into the phone because the top of the reader bumps into the case and you can't angle the connector to plug it into the phone.It's a good design idea, and it's a useful device, but it needs flex ends so that you can plug it in without it looping back over the device you're plugging into.

Handy SD Card Reader, worked wel with my Samsung Note 8 for transferring files.
Great way to transfer file over to my Samsung Note 8. I tried using a 128GB SD Chip from my SJCAM 4K cam to put the files on my phone or editing... Liked the was the reader protected the connector. Very handy....

idiotic.
on hindsight, tripping design. usb c connector can be used only on thin tablet and such, because of its curved design. idiotic.

Don’t work well
Sometimes it works and sometimes it don’t on my MacBook Pro I love the look and everything idk if it’s defective

This card reader is great! I can plug it into my phone and move or copy whatever I need from my phone. Great for moving music, documents, photos. I do have to remove my case, but I've got a thick dual layer case on my phone.
