Lightweight book in a jovial tone that manages to convey a lot of information and make it fun in the process. Great background read for instructional design.

After reading a few other books about learning, I discovered this one. It took me longer as each chapter was to be studied, understood and absorbed. I just finished, but will read it again. I read on kindle, but will buy also a hard copy. Each with its advantages. Now, I really understand how much goes into creating a good learning experience for adults. A book I recommend to many who teach, train, create any material.

I found this book easy to read and easy to make sense of. Would recommend to anyone interested in improving their knowledge of instruction design.

This is an easy to read, practical and engaging book, there is so much learning and insight throughout. As a training coordinator I now carry this book around with me daily. Well worth the investment and time to take the learning on board.

There is some useful content but had I not bought it at reduced price it would not be worth it.

Design for How People Learn has been an extremely helpful resource for understanding how people actually learn — not just in theory, but in practice. I frequently teach adults and regularly need to present new content in each session. This book helped reshape the way I think about designing learning experiences, not just delivering information. It challenged me to consider attention, memory, motivation, and engagement as part of the learning process, rather than assuming that good content alone is enough. This is one of my favorite books in the field of training and learning design. A visual guide with easy to understand writing makes it one of the simplest and effective books on Instructional Design. The book is filled with practical tips that you can apply immediately in your corporate training.

Excellent book. Easy to read and relatable with fun examples and a clear narrative. My current L&D Bible, though I am now reading 'Talk to the Elephant' so that may change;)
