I devoured this book in only a few sittings because it is not only beautifully written but visually stunning. Meera Lee's paintings and lettering accompany her words in such a way that you really feel like you become part of the book as you read it.As someone who has dealt with anxiety and fear for as long as I can remember, her honesty around how she has befriended her fear encouraged me to do more of the same.I typically do a lot of underlining in my books, but this one is so gorgeous that I didn't want to mark up the pages.Quotes that especially stuck with me..."If the pull of fear is holding you back from cultivating your dream, spend more time listening.""Where there is self-awareness and surrender, there is no shame in blooming alone."I really recommend this book if anxiety and/or fear are holding you back from experiencing your best life.

As a person who experiences pretty steady anxiety, I am always searching for ways to calm my irrational thoughts and cultivate a healthier relationship with myself and the world around me. This is what led me to My Friend Fear. MFF challenges you to pull all of those uneasy feelings closer and use them as a tool for creating new possibilities, rather than allowing them to steer you away from the things you really want. This very idea sounded scary to me...However, through Meera Lee Patel's insight, experiences, and helpful exercises, I've discovered new ways of looking at the emotion that I've typically avoided. Now when fear presents itself I listen to it closely, and respond in a way that reflects my true hopes and desires. I feel relieved. I feel excited! Fear and I are becoming dear old friends.P.S. this book is BEAUTIFUL. Meera's artwork is honest and refreshing.

Beautiful book, beautifully written and illustrated. The quotes are uplifting and the author has an interesting perspective on fear and how to overcome. The only thing I wish was that this was more interactive like some of the other Merra Lee Patel works.

I rather enjoyed this book- it’s a good combination of knowledge some concepts I was familiar with and many that I wasn’t. I liked how the author wove in her personal experiences into the work. This is an inspirational book on using fear to feed our creativity instead of fighting against it.

I enjoyed reading this young lady's take on fear. Her book itself is beautiful, filled with her own water paintings and different artistic thoughts. The information within is thought provoking and helpful!

It is more about self love than about fear by itself which is why I ordered this book. But I LOVE the book! It is so beautiful! The design is very pretty and the content is amazing. I had many AHA moments while reading it. I use it as a workbook. I write into it.I would highly recommend this book to everybody! Because everybody can learn something about themselves from this book. It gets you thinking.I am so excited to order the other two books from the collection! ❤Thank you for weighting such an insightful, deep book!

What a beautiful and important book! Beautifully illustrated and filled with many lovely quotes. Meera shares her own journey towards and with her fears and her approach how to deal with it. It reminded me to invite all the emotions, give them space and allow them to be part of me while acknowledging the fact that I AM NOT the emotions and I can let go a lot of them.I instantly ordered two other books of her.

A book which definitely helps us in facing our fears, which when seen feel small but when experienced feel not so small. I think we all have fears which we either don't face and some we are not aware of at all, this book has a set of questions which helps us make understand ourselves better and the presentation of the book definitely helps.

This book found me when i had been going through a rough phase, I loved the book, embraced every line,word,page everything!!!A book everyone should have .

This book is so beautiful.. I'm taking my time reading it, just dipping into it whenever I feel I need a bit of a lift and it really is like no other book I've ever had. Each page is it's own work of art, and the inspirational text and quotes are fab. I am an artist and just looking at the pages makea me want to paint! I'd recommend this book to anyone who feels a little bit lost, it will really help and it's small and light enough to fit in your bag and take with you anywhere.
