Popcorn Hardcover – November 11, 2008

I bought this book one day when I thought popcorn got kind of boring on its own. I love flipping through it because it has some great pictures for almost every recipe. I would not have thought of most of these recipes on my own, and I have enjoyed every one we have tried.The recipes sometimes call for exotic ingredients (at least to me- spanish smoked paprika??), but the result is tasty every time. The recipes are all well laid out, easy to follow, and very easy to get right. I have read through all the popcorn recipes and thought "well that sounds easy enough, we should try that one next!"We haven't tried any of the recipes that don't have popcorn as the primary ingredient, but I bet they are good too.

The author reminds me of how lazy I have become. Using pre-packaged microwave popcorn doesn't allow me to control the salt, butter, fat or cholesterol content. It takes just as much time to pop a quart of popcorn on the stove, and you can use olive oil and cover it with Cajun spices, curry mix, bbq sauce & spices, or garlic 3 ways. This book also has recipes for the sweet and savory tooth...like popcorn shrimp...which is actually what you think it would be: popcorn breadcrumb crusted shrimp. It is good too!

I recently bought Popcorn by Partick Evans Hylton. It has a few recipes that I can use, but not as meny as I had thought it would have.This will probably be the last single book that I will purchase from Amazon. I make many of my purchases on the internet. I figure either I buy locally and pay sales tax or I buy on the internet and pay shipping. With Amazon now is collecting sales taxes for shipments to Arizona, I will not be making any purchases that do not qualify for free shipping.

I had been hunting for a black popcorn like we used to buy-couldn't find it anywhere but found this one on Amazon-tastes great! Most kernels pop-very quick shipping time. We are well pleased with this popcorn

My daughter and her husband are popcorn fanatics. I gave this to them or Christmas and they love trying the different recipes.

What fun ideas! Have tried a couple right away and it will make for a lot of enjoyment on our home movie night munching with so many options! Delightful!

Overpriced and sold in a misleading manner. It showed up in a search for popcorn in grocery.

Good book for adding things to popcorn, but if one just thinks about it, you can put just about anything in popcorn to change the flavor. This book gives you quite a few different easy ingredients.
