Delicious and Natural
During a trip to Thailand I got hooked on coconut water. Finding coconut water that is truly natural, no added sugar, and tastes strongly of coconut is difficult to find unless in the tropics with a fresh cut open coconut. This Jax Coco is practically identical to the fresh natural coconut water I had in Thailand! Very costly but if you want the real thing, this is it.

Fresh and crisp!
Thanks! it's nice to try another product with really great taste without the uncomfortable sweet aftertaste.

Sorry but disappointed in product
Received order, thank you!But on sampling the coconut water am very disappointed as it tastes NOTHING like I remember this poduct should taste, so not ordering again....just my experience...., thank you.

Short and not so sweet
Proper coconut water is a divisive taste, it seems people love it or hate it- and I’m going to say straight up that drinking it neat is not my thing. If you’re expecting something akin to coconut milk, it can come as a bit of a shock- the sweetness (of which there is only a little) comes across wrong somehow, sour and lemon-y, and not quite in the right way.But what it’s for, and why I’m still happy to have it, is as a mixer. It’s a tequila mixer as standard, and that works well- just taking the edge off a less mature tequila, and twisting the bite of the alcohol into something rather different and more quaffable (for better or worse), it’s a solid combination. But you can also use it for whiskey or gin if you’re not snobbish about these things. These bottles are pretty good in that context, in that the individual 238ml bottles are a good size for drinks- one bottle being just about right for two drinks’ worth of mixer, and if you only want half of that, obviously you can put the lid back on and keep it in the fridge no problem. For people enjoying a bit of a cocktail experiment in lockdown, it’s a handy tool to have in the cupboard.Compared to other coconut waters I’ve tried before, though, this one is somewhat less sweet, and even when used as a mixer, I struggle with that a little bit. As I don’t go for coconut water when I want something refreshing, or for its vitamin content (which incidentally is quite high), this means I didn’t find it quite as appealing as I’d hoped. The current asking price for 12 bottles is pretty high, and the glass recycling fairly substantial compared to the amount of coconut water you get, so I feel obliged to knock a star off for inefficiency. It’s probably better suited to a cocktail bar, where you can pass on the cost to the customers, but for domestic use, it feels like a bit of an indulgence. And since it’s a hit-or-miss taste, to my tastebuds at least, it’s an indulgence I probably won’t return to. But it does have some interesting merits as a taste experiment, at least until I work my way through all twelve.

Expensive
I recently tried the canned version of this product and it is both refreshing and delicious. The key difference - and reason why I removed a star - here is the cost. To my knowledge, metal cans that can be recycled are always made of aluminum. I read somewhere that this material can be near enough infinitely recycled. Glass bottles do add a premium feel. Just hold a plastic bottle of Coca Cola and then a glass one. While both glass bottles and recyclable cans are better materials for the planet than plastic containers, Jax Coco 100% Pure Coconut Water 24 cans works out at about £5 a litre, based on the price when I review this. The version that's sold in glass bottles costs about £9.25 a litre. Purchase accordingly, depending upon how highly you value saving that money. As a product though, I think this is delicious. I've included my original text review of the canned version below, as the drink itself is the same.Coconut has never really been "my thing", as it were. I just find the taste off-putting. However, I wanted to give this a fair go.I had a can that wasn't refrigerated and then one that had been in the fridge for a few hours. The chilled version was definitely better, I think. The taste of the room temperature drink was a little too much. It tasted almost "off" to me, for lack of a better term. The chilled drink was much more palatable. Though coconut still isn't generally for me, I did find the chilled version of this refreshing and the taste was more subtle/in the background. It's entirely possible that those who generally dislike coconut flavoured products may like this, as I find myself quite enjoying it.

Tastes clean and fresh
Lovely chilled, great in the glass bottles and a nice medium size for taking out and about with you. The drink itself isn't a very strong taste but does taste fresh and clean without any aftertaste, Very refreshing on a hot day.

Lovely healthy treat
I thoroughly enjoyed the previous coconut water I've tried from this brand, so was thrilled to try the plain version (with no pulp, ha!) - you get twelve in small glass bottles. I'm fairly obsessed with the bottles to be honest - I want to wash them out after drinking, peel the labels off and put some of those bottle lights inside them. Could also work as a vase too, I suppose. Anyway, the drink is lovely - consistency is like drinking mineral water but it tastes coconutty and simply delicious and refreshing. It is a bit small for my liking, however they also suggest using this water as a mixer so I suppose if you want to add it to some alcohol it is the right size. Me, I just like drinking it as is with my lunch and feeling fancy! It is on the pricey side though, sadly. I do love it though.
