The Paleoart of Julius Csotonyi Hardcover – 23 May 2014

Brilliant book, the art is unreal, it will be a treasured possession. If you want to, lay it on the coffee table for admiration lol. But I have to admit, I bought it for my Dino mad 10 year old. It has been put away carefully til he's old enough to appreciate it as he's probably a bit too young yet.I can't imagine the amount of research that was put into creating the images.

As we learn more about the prehistoric animals, as more and more Dinosaurs are being discovered. The dinosaur art has not been able to keep up. So many of the newer books lack quality Dinosaur illustrations, either just showing bones at the dig sites or have dino cartoons for the disappointed readers. However Julius Csotonyi has done some great art work in this book. He brings the Dinos to life. I hope he does some more work on prehistoric mega Mammals. Which are just as fascinating as their reptilian predecessors.

Fazia uns 3 anos desde que vi em um site falando sobre livros de paleoarte, no qual mostrava este exemplar e o livro "Dinosaur Art" da Titan Books. Eu já havia comprado este ultimo e fiquei encantado com as artes de diversos paleoartistas apresentadas no livro, mas o Paleoart de Julius Csotony, apesar de mostrar o trabalho de apenas um artista não fica para trás em questão de qualidade e diversidade pois o livro não abrange apenas dinossauros, mas outros animais e paisagens da pre historia. Ele começa por apresentar as magnificas formas de vida da era Paleozoica, passa pela era Mesozoica e finaliza com os animais e paisagens da era Cenozoica. Um detalhe interessante das artes de Csotony é que elas muitas vezes parecem fotografias, são extremamente realistas, como se alguém tivesse voltado no passado e fotografado a historia natural pre histórica. Não encontrei nenhum ponto negativo importante e recomendaria para todos que gostam de artes, historia natural, dinossauros, paisagens, pre historia, sejam estudantes, leigos, profissionais, curiosos, etc.

Livre sur les dinosaures et autres animaux anciens. Consacré uniquement à J. Csotonyi qui est un des meilleurs paléoartistes, cela donne un bon à excellent livre, à recommander à tous les amoureux des dinos et autres anciens animaux...
