Perfect for pretend play
We didn’t use the smaller pieces until they were older, maybe around 4? But they can pretend without them as well

Simple elegant toy for learning or pretend play or art
This is a wonderfully simply toy. It’s mostly made of wood, including the small magnetic letter/number tiles. It comes with an eraser (shaped like a computer mouse). It’s great for chalk drawing, letter practice, simple math, and pretend play. My son loves to play “work from home” alongside me and this is a perfect tool for that. I would recommend buying sturdier chalk as the ones that came with broke easily.

Missing minus sign and broken chalk
Cute toy but flaws. Missing minus magnet and most of the chalk was already broken.

Love this but it’s splitting
This little laptop is awesome! The little magnets stick to the top or bottom and we love the mouse. It also erases really well. My 4- and 6-year old use them for everything. Sadly, we have had them a month and the bottom layer of wood is already splitting. It’s so cute I would buy it again despite the wood.

Sturdy and cute
I bought this for my kids, who are outside of the suggested age range, because they create computers out of boxes and all sorts of cardboard as we try to avoid plastic toys as much as possible. They’ll be getting it for Christmas this week and I think they’ll enjoy having it. The wood is thick and sturdy, and the magnets are strong. The “keyboard” isn’t arranged QWERTY style, but since that might be confusing to the target audience I don’t hold it against them. I can always have my kids set it up like a computer. The “screen” erased well, and all in all I think this is a great open-ended toy.
