Very free spinning. Positive... I really don't like the handle, or the handle lock. It also doesn't hold the amount of line that is indicated on the charts. The 4000 series should hold more line to make it useful. Negatives.... It would make a great light tackle reel, with 4-6 lb test.

Nice smooth action. The mounting bracket arms are a bit wide and will not fit all fishing poles. Fortunately, I had a nice pole it did fit and I am very happy with the reel.

Broke on first cast. Handle stapped. Company will not issue refund for their poor product quality.
