DAWGS Men's Spirit Lightweight Golf Shoe

Simply put, a wonderful all-weather golf shoe.I bought a pair of DAWGS golf shoes because I live in Florida, and the summer months can be very hot and wet on the golf course. I was first interested in this product because I actually had a pair of traditional golf shoes separate from the soles because of water damage suffered while playing on a damp course after a June rain shower. I have been very please with these shoes.The construction of the shoe is very similar to a pair of Crocs. The material is very soft and comfortable on the foot, yet strong and stable, as well. One concern I had before I purchase the shoes is how they would hold up and react to my golf swing, which can be described as a little violent. The shoes hold up very well, keeping my footing and stability during even the wildest of powerful swings. The shoes have a leather strap on top that works with Velcro to tighten the shoes around the ankle, and have cleats molded to the sole of the shoe. These combine to help keep your foot in the proper position in your shoe, and keep your feet on the ground.Additionally, the shoe is waterproof. While traditional golf shoes are waterproof, you must be careful not to get water over the top of your shoe by your ankle, because your foot and sock will get soaked. With Dawgs, there is no worry about water. The water drains out of the breather holes around the shoe, and your foot will be dry in a matter of minutes. This is possibly the best feature if you happen to play in an area where the grass often gets soggy.Further, the shoe is very cool. The holes on the side help to breath in the air and kept me from getting too hot. While you can wear the shoe with socks, I normally wear them without socks. The shoes feel great on your feet, and you don't have to worry about the material grabbing your skin. Additionally, I believe the material is germ-resistant.I strongly recommend these golf shoes to anybody, but especially for people that play in hot, muggy, or soggy weather.

The media could not be loaded. MY OPINION:Wow, these shoes are great for the price. Let's be honest... Golf shoes are pretty expensive. These are a steal for the price. I waited for a while before posting my review because i wanted to get one round in with socks on and one round without. I enjoyed them both ways and will explain why below. One thing i will say is you will want to order a smaller size, because these to run big. These shoes are 100% waterproof so that makes them really easy to clean with a hose.WITH SOCKS:With socks i feel that these shoes do fit a little better than without. I ordered 1 size smaller because i saw that they ran big, however i still feel that they are a little big. With socks on i still don't feel like my feet were sweating too bad. The conditions that i played in with the socks on was very wet (cartpath only) however when i was done with my round my socks were still dry, it was hard for me to believe.WITHOUT SOCKS:Without socks the shoes were a little big, but still very comfortable. They would occasionally make a squeaking noise because my feet became wet with sweat, but it wasn't a big deal to me or my playing partner.PROS:Great PriceExtremely LightweightWaterproofEasy to CleanCONS:Noises if you don't wear socksSpikes cannot be taken out and will wear down if on concrete

These shoes are a second pair for occasional golf on the road. I bought them on price, but have found them to be comfortable and to fit my feet well. My last outing required lots of walking on fairways and unfortunately, in the rough too. The shoes offered support and good traction. Others have commented on sizing, but I found the size 10 I bought fit my size 9-1/2 feet well. Your feet will get wet on a rainy day (or dewy morning) and if this bothers, stay away. I wore socks and had no wear spots or blisters. All in all, a good bargain for a backup pair of golf shoes.
