Peace of mind.
Excellent little thermometer. I have 2 and they both consistently show the same temperature when tested. I'm using these for a large freezer and the fridge in my camper. Peace of mind.

Easy to read and works well
Works well using it for a cooler and love how it’s outside and easy to read temp with just a glance.

No "Off" Button!
There’s no Off button! How do you turn this off? It runs on battery, and I don’t need it on 24/7In fairness to this product and the company I needed to upgrade this review from a 1-Star to a 4-Star. Here's why: I use this thermometer to gauge water temperature while thawing food for my snake. It only gets used once a month. Since I bought this product it has worked as expected and accurately. Yes, it's always on and on my kitchen counter by the sink. The bottom line is that it works—it works exactly as described. The batteries are still the original, so they last a long time. I find myself looking at this thermometer while in the kitchen to get the room temperature.I upgraded it to a 4-Star because it works, but I lowered it from five because it would be a full 5-Star if it had an on/off switch like my other top-brand digital thermometers.

Very good general purpose thermometer for our RV refrigerator. Easily readable and reliable.
We are using this with our RV refrigerator when out. The thermocouple probe/sensor and wire slip right between the door gaskets and gives us a good idea of the internal temp. Its demonstrated good battery life and is easily readable...a good design. Well built, it continues to perform well.

Seem to work well for the cost
So far so good. Cheap thermometers to keep an eye on our RV fridge temps.

Disappointed
We ordered the HATUSOKU Digital Thermometer believing that the product was manufactured in Japan. I also expected that with a MIN/MAX feature, those values could be set by consumer. WRONG on both accounts. The MIN/MAX feature of this product appears to be that it is a preset internal calculation that relies on the current measured temperature. What good is that? To what purpose is it to see arbitrary values displayed that have no relevance? More importantly, the included literature is concise as far as manipulating the device but inaccurate in that the MIN/MAX option is dependent upon the probe's currently recorded temperature & a predetermined calculation. I can find NO option for setting the MIN/MAX values manually and I might just want more than a 3-to-4 degree range between minimum and maximum temperatures. So, what did I get for my money? I basically received a temperature probe attached by cable to an external digital display head that can display either English or Metric temperature scale readings. The probe cable is run between the door sealant strips but can allow cold air to escape. The loss of cold air from a sealed system increases operational costs while diminishing efficiency of the operation. The electronics can add and subtract a couple of degrees from recorded temp & display those calculations as a "minimum" and "maximum" value, but, again, where and what is the relevance of those calculated values? I mean, unless the product has an alarm mechanism that initiates when the temp exceeds either the MIN or MAX value, the feature is pointless, right? Oh well, at least it gives me a relatively accurate temperature reading. Three stars for functioning correctly as a thermometer.
