Aircraft Tool Supply Safety Lock Wire (.032)

I bought some Moroso safety wire at my local speed shop awhile back. When I replaced it with this, I realized it was the exact same wire with a different sticker. It’s good stuff, you can’t go wrong here. It lasts forever, too.

I recently used this wire to secure 5/8" garden hose to barbed fittings as a very secure and low profile repair. Used the safety wire instead of bulky hose clamps.

I wanted good quality, rust-free bailing wire for my outdoor repair kit. I also wanted to give my friends a yard or two of the same wire for their repair kits. Bailing wire has lots of uses in the field from holding together climbing crampons, ski bindings, or pack frames that have lost a screw or bolt. You can also use bailing wire to splint a broken ski pole or anchor the sole of a boot that has started to delaminate. Since there's more wire in this can than I'll use in lifetime of outdoor field repairs, the wire is mainly getting used for home chores now -- like deer-proofing vegetation in winter by wrapping chicken wire around shrubs and trees.
