It’s a zippo product, and is made to the same standards seen in the inserts that we have grown to expect from zippo’s long line of lighters predating this nifty insert. I would have given it 5 stars if the bits reached a bit further beyond the insert than they do, but that is a minor issue, and I have found it to be a handy tool to carry around. I’m a former smoker, and have done some metal detecting. I have a few zippo lighters that I had purchased over the years, and I have one that I dug up while I was out with my metal detector a few years back. The flame insert in the one I dug up is rusted and not useable. I had been wanting to see if zippo could repair it, but had never gotten around to it. When I saw this insert I decided to get it rather than get the flame insert repaired. I quit smoking 15 years ago and the only time I use my zippos is when I’m camping or grilling neither happens very often. The screw driver bits in a zippo insert was a perfect way to make my favorite zippo useable on a more regular basis again. And the familiar trademarked click that a traditional zippo insert makes is built into this screwdriver insert so I get to enjoy the sound of a traditional zippo even though it no longer will start a fire. So it’s a great way to breathe new life into a favorite zippo if you quit smoking but like the idea of carrying a zippo around. I love the way that zippo got creative and found a way to improve on what I had thought was a perfectly designed lighter. Thank you to Zippo for this innovation, and if you want to buy a product made in the USA, this is one to take a serious look at. They are collectible and practical and will out last the owner.

This is always in my pocket. It’s a unique multi tool. It just doesn’t cut anything but it’s got all kinds of tips. Philips head and flat head screwdriver.

Fantastic idea, excellent craftmenship, durable product. If you only like the multi tools you will use daily, and regret the ones collecting in a drawer, then you will appreciate this tool. Fits in my Zippo case which then fits in its leather sheath. Only problem when going through metal detectors, I have to show security that it's not a lighter. Then they want to know how to get one. A conversation meant for another time got sure. The spring lever is just as strong as my lighter. Of course. It's a Zippo product. I want to get one for everyone I know but they don't smoke so they don't have a Zippo lighter. Maybe I can get them to start a nasty habbit.

Is it silly? A absolutely. But is it functional? Sort of. But it's well made and awesome. It fits inside your existing Zippo easily and lets you use your Zippo even if you have quit smoking and don't really need a lighter every day. Like all Zippo products great value surprisingly cheap and robust. No fancy batteries needed. Just long lasting products built for a lifetime.
