Genuine Leather Chef Knife Roll All Purpose Chef Roll

I purchased this for my fiancé who is a chef and he is so in love with this bag! Amazing quality leather and craftsmanship! This is way underpriced! Beautiful and long lasting!

I dont know what I was expecting for the $100 price tag but this blew away all of my expectations. The quality is fantastic and the fit and finish emacculate. If you're on the fence because it seems pricey, its worth twice that much and looks like it will last a lifetime. It's a little heavy but cmon, its leather and brass.

We have a lot of knives, too many to store in the kitchen. And, I just got a fancy new knife sharpener, so they are wickedly sharp. I decided it was time to upgrade from rolling them up in kitchen towels, and sprung for this leather roll. I’m so happy I did. It is handmade in India of buffalo leather. It has 11 main slots along the bottom and 5 small pockets across the top, with a large leather flap that folds down over all the knives. The leather is thick and strong. I love the rich CrazyHorse-like outer finish and the long belts. It came with a separate leather shoulder strap, utensil pouch, and protective cloth bag. My knives will be much happier and easier to find being stored this way.

I ordered this to provide a "home" for some very sharp knives I use daily for mise en place. And it arrived around my birthday! I'm a home cook with no training. But I've learned a few things from experience and from others and for the last two years and more, we've shifted almost entirely from 'heat and eat' processed foods to 'spend an hour each day' preparing decent meals from raw supplies. We are increasing what we grow at home as we learn more about that, as well, and it now replaces about half of the vegetables and herbs that we use. My wife shares cooking work, but I'm the one who does the knife-work here. And I prefer to use very sharp knives now. Our daughter is profoundly autistic and isn't safe for her to be around sharp knives. I keep her safer by keeping them dumped into a plastic box that is placed high and where she cannot easily reach. But just stacked together in a box like that makes getting one of them out of there a 'pain'. So my wife finally just said 'buy something nice' and I did! Just receiving it today, I am very impressed. I do some leather-work as a hobbyist of sorts and have plenty of tools and liquids related to working with leather. This product is exceptionally well-done and there is no way I'd be able to make something like this for what I paid to receive it. I feel I may have gotten the better end of the deal and consider myself very fortunate that Rustic Town has done the legwork needed to allow me to find and purchase such a nice product for my knives. It's still going to sit up high on a shelf away from my daughter. But now I'll have an easier time picking out tools and putting them back, again. My priority knives to store are the 8" (20 cm) ones, though I will be adding more tools soon. All of those 8" knife handles fit into the pockets. Some of the odd handles, particularly the Mercer knives, are a slight stretch to set in. But that's with a brand new product. I expect the pocket leather to 'wear in' over time. So this isn't a complaint. Just an observation. My Global (uniquely sharp) and Niuta C5 fit quite easily. The longest blade I'd consider in this would be 30 cm (12"). The outside length of the leather is 19.5" or about 50 cm, which obviously has to be enough for knife handles and all the necessary leather stitching. The unrolled outside span is about 29" or about 74 cm, and that isn't with me carefully pressing it dead-flat but allowing just a little bit of natural curl to it. Indeed there are 11 pockets for knives. And everything I expected to see was included. Again, I believe I got the better end of the deal. It is certainly worth the asking price and I am certainly going to gladly consider anything from Rustic Town should I find need of their products. I could have gone with something a little cheaper. But I'm glad I didn't. And now that I've seen the product I'd very much like to give a shout to those helping bring it here. I don't know much about Rustic Town, but I sincerely hope they are treating well those who work with them and that they may continue doing so. I've no question they are delivering good quality at a very fair price right now. They included a standard form letter talking about the artists supported by the products they sell and that they also include a stipend of some form to help 'under-privileged.' (My wife and I spend 300 hours per year volunteering locally and every little bit helps.) It also includes on the back good instructions about the care of leather. I already have various care products for leather. But if you don't, definitely consider finding some oils, conditioners and saddle soap.

Beautiful knife case . Sturdy and smells great. Sewing is spot on and should last for a while.

Most prized possession of a Chef. This has been the longest I’ve ever waited for such a product. But so totally worth every single penny. This product will swell your heart with pride. It’s simply out of the world product in terms of the quality and the looks. Too good.
