Coco chips
EZ to work with once the block is amply wet & broken up. Thankfully I had a large bowl to soak the chip block in water (just long enough to break it into usable pieces). Much more affordable and less weight than buying tons of potting soil or other pot fillers, especially larger pots. Works great at keeping my plants’ soil moist, means less watering and minimizes overwatering. Also looks great as landscaping bark…doesn’t fade. Highly recommend.

Convenient and easy to use
I’ve tried other forms of coconut coir mulch and these bricks are easier to use. They absorb water quickly and are easy to break apart in water. They spread easily and we’ll need more soon, now that I know how easy they are to use and as we add plantings to our landscape. Very helpful. Arizona sun beats up most anything without mulching.

Great Price - Huge Amount!
This is perfect for adding to my soil-less potting mix. Roots will get lots of oxygen. Bricks are easy to store and hydrate into a good amount.

I received more like one-and-a-half bricks.
Last summer I purchased the 10-lb size but didn't think I needed that much this time so I bought the 2-pack.The bricks were pretty small and one of them seemed like a half-brick. This mulch is still really easy to use for the first time. I watched a video that showed soaking the whole brick in a bin of water for about two minutes. I spread it around my asparagus last summer and will be trying it again this summer in a thicker layer. I'll need to add more of this mulch every year after it breaks down over the winter

Great for Nepenthes pitcher plants
I’ve started to use this brand for most of my Nepenthes pitcher plants due to its low TDS with a PPM of around 150. Still a good idea to rinse before use with reverse osmosis water. I’ve tried other brands that were over 450ppm which is way too high for Nepenthes. I’ve switched to this medium because it breaks down much slower than sphagnum peat moss and long fiber sphagnum moss.
