I purchased these bowls to make different types of yogurt in my yogurt maker. The bowls feel high quality and clean up easily. Keep a good grip on them while washing, as the smooth finish can feel slippery. I really like the lids because I can write the type of yogurt I’m making and easily change it for the next batch. The bowls also keep the yogurt fresh in the refrigerator.

ETA: Lost a star for having a piece break off of the lip of one of the covers. Making me think twice about reordering; I'd like another set but... Maybe I shouldn't have put the covers in the dishwasher, but I did use the top shelf. This whole yogurt making system, machine and jars and/or bowls, is awesome; I wonder how I lived without it for so long. Not only am I doing the L. Reuteri and reading Super Gut, I would use this to make "regular" yogurt, as well, if I weren't doing the gut thing. There are pros and cons to the 8-jar set vs this 2 qt set, namely how many items need thorough washing each use. However, leaving about 1/2" headspace in the 2 bowl set and the 8-jar set produces the same amount of yogurt. I can tell because I left the water bath in the machine between uses to test my theory and it was displaced the same amount to come up to the level of the yogurt in the jars and bowls...so there had to be the same amount of yogurt in the jars and in the bowls - EUREKA! (You're welcome, all you Archimedes fans!) I've never used another brand of yogurt maker so I can't compare this to others, but I can say I love this machine and both yogurt container sets. You really can't go wrong, and I like having 2 sets so I don't have to wash what I have before starting another batch.

The size of this yogurt container is perfect for yogurt making machine. Functionality is simple and easy to use. The quality of the product is great and the price is reasonable. I used the container to make yogurt for about three times and there’s no leak at all.
