Sper Rust Preventer really is a decent, innovative product that will effectively eliminate rust buildup. Every seen a concrete walkway or wall that looks a bit on the brown side? This is THE product that will eliminate that issue. Now, there are no directions that come with the Sper, however, in small print a website is referenced.On this website there’s everything from those must needed, wanted directions to a Usage / Dosage Calculator. Simply plug in your data and you’ll be able to determine how much Rust Preventer you’ll need for your system. Now, this is only a single gallon, enough for personal needs. For larger systems, Sper does sell their product in bulk. In essence, this single gallon would be for small projects, but a great way to eliminate rust. I’d highly recommend checking out the company’s website prior to purchase.Made in the USA.

Maybe this product is for the professionals.No indication on diluting in the holding tank.It indicates using a “calculator” once you have analyzed the PH of the water…. What? You have to be a chemist to figure this out.I am just going to dump the whole gallon into the 30 gallon holding tank and fill it up with water. I hope that’s ok!

This is a excellent rust preventer. In order to use this rust preventer correctly you will need to have an injection pump to pour the rust preventer into. I have a small water container that is connected to my main water line that feeds my sprinklers zones. In order to control the amount of rust preventer you will need a injection pump. This is the same concept when using a liquid lawn fertilizer with the dials to control the fertilizer. I did find that the dosage calculator very helpful. You will need to know information GPM (gallon per minute) and if you have well water or city water. Your sprinkler water pump should have some information. Overall, it does prevent those ugly water stains.

So you get 1 gallon of this rust preventer and the ad says that it can treat 100,000 gallons of water. But there’s no clear directions. I can’t tell how well it works.It’s a blue liquid. I’ve never seen anything that can treat 100,000 gallons of water. Maybe 50 gallons.

Works great on all rust prone materials and keeps it from staining.

Ad does not make it clear that you need and injection system or metered siphon injector to use this product. My well company said they would need to come out and quote it, but the cost would exceed a hundred, no doubt. You also need pre-testing and periodic water testing. So I cannot test this product or use it.

If you have metal parts in your irrigation system, then this is a must have if you want to keep it working like new. Adding it is a little challenging if you do not have a vessel to inject it into the system, but with some patience, it can be done with a funnel and a tube. As for how well it works, that is still to be found out in the long run. But for now, so far so good.
