The only thing I would have like better would be if it when below 30c degrees as the chocolate I use say to cool it down to 27c. It would also be nice if it had Fahrenheit but that is no big deal.

I bought a melting pot last year for dipping. I was replacing an old one. It came after Christmas, so I put it in the cupboard for this year. When I got it out and tried to use it, it was terrible. The chocolate was so thick and unusable. The temperature setting was way off. So I ordered this one. Although, the temperature gauge is in Celsius, the instructions tell you the best temperature for the chocolate. Also, it's easy enough to google conversions. It was such a joy to use this. Perfect consistency, no lumping. I'm very pleased with the purchase.

I wanted to love this. It would be perfect to hold tempered chocolate. The inaccuracy of the temp dial didn't bother me. I just figured out where the dial needed to be for the temp I needed and marked the dial. Next time I needed to hold chocolate I got it out and set it up. I put my tempered chocolate in and spent a few minutes doing something else. When I got back to the chocolate it was too runny, a sign it's heated past temper. I used a thermometer and sure enough, it was nearly 10F too high.I tried to figure out where the sweet spot is only to realize there isn't one because it reads at different temps while on the same setting each time I plug it in.
