I never used gel polish before this, so I bought this little light purely to try out gel polish. Like just to see if it was worth investing in a lamp. I used it with "Aillisa" brand gel polish that was on sale here at the same time. So far, I still can't decide whether I want to invest in a lamp.This little light works, but keep in mind, it's kind of time consuming if you want to do a full manicure on yourself (by this, i mean layering a base coat, polish, and top coat). UV gel polish seems to require VERY thin coats or else you end up with tacky polish that won't harden and cure.And unfortunately, with a teeny tiny light like this, each finger had to be cured separately, under multiple 60 second cycles (sometimes 3-4). When I started applying the actual color polish, I had to apply it so thin that i had to do multiple coats (which also meant even more cycles for each finger). Felt like it took me all day to do my nails, but then again, I took breaks between coats. I also have to admit that it's been about a week since then and my polish is still relatively intact! Usually my polish starts chipping within hours after I've applied it and it's absolutely wrecked after a week.I did get annoyed when, about halfway through curing my 2nd coat of black polish this thing ran out of power. Luckily, you can use it WHILE it's charging! That's just another reason it's getting 4 stars from me (still, I'll update if it craps out months from now).On another positive note, I've read reviews for a lot of UV lamps with people complaining of burns and blisters (along with pictures for proof) and this little light caused no burning or blistering. And at least it didn't leave me with sticky half cooked polish. Obviously, it's not very powerful, but it can get the job done and all these reviews here from people saying this little light works better than their actual UV lamp have me wary of investing in an actual lamp (not if it works even worse than this little thing!).

I really like this I'm so happy that I finally have one it is great for quick cures in between applications of doing my gel nails

but dont charge to the max or it might burn, dont apply nail polish on ur skin and cure it, it bruns alot
