Purchased these for downtown event for work as giveaways for the kids. They were exactly like described and worked perfectly. There weren't any broken ones out the 36 (I have ready many reviews on other fiber optic wands and that seemed to be a common problem). They were a great price for the set and will definitely be buying these again. My daughter loved the one I set aside for her, and after a few months it still works just as good.

We used these in place of sparklers and are SO fun. Easy to use and love that they are more safe. They have pull tabs that you take out and then you can use and multiple colors.

great for younger kids parties or piñata

These are awesome! They're not just for little kids, even teenagers and some of us adults love them too! They are great for any kind of party, festive time or when you just want something fun to do. At less than a dollar each, they are very affordable. I got the set of 36 and the first one out of the package worked great. My only disappointment was that the tips were curved because the plastic bag they were packaged in was a little too short and the folded over seam went down over the wands and bent the tips of the fiber optic hairs. Not a deal breaker, but they need a longer bag and even a piece of cardboard so they won't bend and curve. I like that these have a choice of settings for different glow/flashing effects, and the wrist band is a great idea.

Picked these up to add a safe element to our New Year's Eve celebrations that wasnt fireworks because we have young kids who will be out and about. I think these are a really fun item for younger kids to join in the celebration at times like New Year's or 4th of July, which are typically more firework heavy celebrations - without actually needing to hand them a firework or flame. Much safer! They are a good value, with the batteries lasting several hours. The light settings all have strobelight type effects. There are no mellow light settings, like a fade or always-on. I do think this is a miss on the part of the manufacturer. A static "on" setting would be a great add.

The media could not be loaded. These weren't really what I was expecting, but I'm not sure if it's my fault or the advertiser.I expected these to be brighter and... well... I guess less cheap looking. That said my kids seem to like them but they don't exactly love them.I got these for my kids and their cousins for new years eve and when we turned them on and went out they just weren't nearly as bright as I thought they would be. I tried taking video and pictures and found it was actually hard to show how 'not bright' these are! It seems the camera picks up the smallest amount of light and makes it brighter. However in real life all you really see is the ends of the fibers. The fibers themselves are actually rather dark and only reflect a small amount of light.In the end the kids had fun with them, and they will still likely work for the 4th of July so we'll get some good use out of them. It is just a bunch of fibers bound together.I have not personally turned each one on, but as of what we did use, they all worked, so that's a plus!

The media could not be loaded. As a 4th grade teacher, it is difficult to find inexpensive incentives or prizes for my classroom. By that I mean prizes that 9 and 10 year olds would find "cool" and actually enjoy. This product fits the bill. Most teachers will give out pencils, erasers, stickers etc. While that is great, sometimes a new, interesting prize will do wonders to motivate them. I found this product does just that. These are reasonably priced and students were very interested in attempting to earn one as our monthly prize incentive.Each comes with a battery. Simply pull put the tab to activate. I wouldn't say these things are very durable and don't expect them to have long life spans. But I do expect them to serve their purpose as outlined above. They look great and kids find them to be a lot of fun!
