These are durable and can take a beating when flying across the desert

There are several similar Whip lights available. Went with this one for one because they had a decent special sale price at the time and liked the spring base mount for better flexibility.We like the spiral look but didn't need anything super fancy because this was for the kids ATV.Pretty basic installation, however we used an inline switch rather than just directly to the battery.It came with hardly any paperwork/information about the product, though I have used several different brands over the years was familiar with whip lights.Packaging could be better to protect the cable connection end as it got a bit smashed in shipping, was not round like it should be too twist on so had to tweak it so it will connect/plug in correct. Which is why 4 stars.

The media could not be loaded. One of the lights just stopped working and we had them for about a week. Use them about four times.

This spring does a good job holding my whip without a lot of movement. I've seen some that are weak springs and allow the whip to flop about quite a bit. I only have a 4' whip so this seems to hold it in place ok.Good clean fastener bolt to secure it to my SxS and the QD post fits my whip socket perfectly. I do feel however, that the price point is a bit higher than I would have expected to pay. It does seem to be the going rate for this item though.I have not had this spring mount long enough to speak about the durability of the spring or the mounting, but from what I see so far, I don't doubt that it will hold up very well.If you would look at my pictures, you can see how my original whip mount is wearing out. This is, I believe due to how ridged the whip is held in place without a spring. What I did like about my old mount, that I kind of wish the new spring mount had, was the specific dimples that the QD fit into rather than the continuous ring around the mount. (The dimple version kept my whip from rotating around) I assume the spring mount design is to be more universal and fit both types though. I don't know that my whip will rotate with this design anyway, so for now I don't hold any faults to the design.

Universal Quick release compatible springs are the way to go. On any vehicle whip light it's a good idea to have these to protect them from snapping if they are hit.These attach to the brackets the same way the light itself does, the threaded bolt end is the same size. The top end is the quick release, which means you don't need the extra piece that comes with your light. The fit is mostly universal, I can tell you with certainty it would with YuWing and Ehaho brands that I'm currently using.The springs are stiff enough that they don't bounce around when you're driving on the road, but they have enough bend to protect the light from damage. I should mention that I have 3ft and 4ft lights. Anything longer may have more bend.Build quality seems good so far and the color (black) doesn't seem to be fading or chipping with use fo far.These are valuable adds to protect the more expensive light, definitely worth a little investment.

The media could not be loaded. For the price you can't really go wrong. These are really well built and I like that they are black to match most roll cages. And even if your roll cage is a different color black goes with everything. Quick release is nice so you can quickly mount and unmount your whips without a lot of hassle.

Ordered this item and when installing only one of the lights would work - wiring issue. Wouldn't be so bad but you cannot contact the seller to see about replacement parts/assistance. Otherwise, I would've been satisfied with the product.
