Purchased to replace the original lead which had failed, although advertised as suitable replacement for the original I was concerned when first connected the scanner didn't work. After persevering I found the problem was the plug into the adapter box was not connecting due to a poor fit. After struggling to push it in I was relieved to find it worked fine, just a pity it wasn't a better fit as it is prone to fall out hence the four star rating.

This is a low cost replacement power supply for the larger Epson scanners. Not listed as doing so, but it I can confirm that it happily powers the V850 (and therefore also the V800) model.

I will be returning this item. Like some others have said the power cable connection to adapter box does not fit. This makes this item potentially dangerous. Very disappointed.

As "tomosino" described in his review the power supply fits the scanner (a V700 in this case) and works perfectly BUT the lead that supplies mains to the PSU is not a brilliant fit, is loose and will probably cause arcing. It is a three pin kettle lead aka an iec lead. We have a computer shop in Christchurch, Rapid PCs, so to find a better quality one that fitted well was easy. A lead with a longer plug did the trick and fitted well.

I’d lost the original lead that came with my Epson V600 scanner. Found this on Amazon, and it arrived the next day. It does the job perfectly. You do need to attach the lead into the transformer firmly.

The charger worked, but the power plug that came with the charger did not fit so I had to get an other power plug that did. So the poduct was rubbish. As I had to buy another plug.
