The media could not be loaded. I recently bought the LeapFrog Mr. Pencil's Scribble Write and Read (Green) for my nephew, and he absolutely loves it! I’ve included a video in this review to show just how excited he gets while using it—it truly keeps his attention in a meaningful, educational way.This toy is not just fun, it’s genuinely designed to help children learn. It teaches writing, letters, and early reading in an interactive format that makes it feel like play. What impressed me most is how it seems to grow with the child—there’s enough here to challenge and engage them over time.The product also seems very durable, which is a must for any kid’s toy. One tip: I highly recommend reading the manual fully before handing it off to your child. It really helped me understand how to support and guide him through the activities, especially during those first few uses.Overall, it’s a great investment for any young learner. Highly recommend!

My great nephew loves the Mr. Pencil! He enjoys very much that it talks back to him and he thinks that it’s his friend and it is working well on teaching him. I bought him both the leapfrog leap pad and Mr. Pencil thinking he could grow into the leapfrog but get used to it by watching videos and and with playing on it and practicing but Mr. Pencil is very practical for now and very cost effective and for a 3 year old, just perfect! It’s just the right size, it’s sounds great, it’s durable and he’s a tough little guy so we needed to make sure it was and it is. It stands out as a perfect learning toy for a child because it keeps their attention, it’s bright and colorful and it talks to them and every child needs to use their imagination and this is perfect for that. They get to learn all sorts of things from an age appropriate friend and use their imagination and you really can’t ask for more than that in a wonderfully priced toy! I have had to buy stock in batteries though because he uses it all the time but I’m not complaining, I’m excited to see him happy about learning!

The media could not be loaded. Stop scrolling and get this! Our 4 years old loved it. She just spent an hour learning how to write and pronounce letters! Plus it lets her draws characters, object and animals. My daughter has just started learning phonics and this is an interesting way for her to learn and starts reading words out. The name function lets you input names or even words for her to learn.

This toy has been great for helping my 3 year old learn to write letter. I love that I can program her name to help her learn to write/ spell it. She has also learned letter sounds, simple spelling, and reading.

Serves its purpose

Perfect for 3 year olds and up. My daughter loves to write her letters and name. As a daycare teacher I’d recommend this to parents to help their kids learn how to hold a pencil and trace.
