My grandkids love this author's previous rhyming stories, and each family has been given a full set of the Llama Llama tales. They read and re-read, and when they learn to read, the older reading grandchildren are reading them to the younger. It's their favorite books, so says more than one mommy in the family. I purchased the board books to begin Frank, our newest grandson, on Llama Llama even before he's able to sit up by himself. Never too young to hear a rhyming story. Will wakey-wake get him going on the right foot in the morning after hearing nighty-night that put him to sleep? Mama Mama in real life hopes so. Both Llama Llama wakey-wake & Llama Llama nighty-night goes through all the steps to learn to get in and out of bed through the mama desired correct procedure. So, it is tiny tot educational as well. I'll not spoil the fun and tell you any of the steps, you'll have to buy and read to find out. The pictures are exactly as they are with the older, larger books. Large and colorful characters, and a heavy page book designed to last. I tried opening the first book flat to see how it responded and was pleased to see the construction of the spine causes only a planned binding crease on the back cover, never one on the front. Well unless abused, I guess. 7 hard boards bound with pictures and story on all sides, which also includes the cover and back. I have the first two, but also know there are more board book Llama Llama's soon to be published. I will be buying them all, for Grandson Frankie, you understand, not for me, I'm too old...no I'm not, I love nighty-night. A fast read. :)

GOOD BOOK FOR TODDLER
The child opened the book and insisted on having it read to her immediately. She wouldn't let go of it. She is a little over 1 1/2 years old and already loves books.

Loving Llama Llama - A Favorite
This is a fun book for even the smallest baby. My son is five months old and loves to stare at the illustrations of Llama Llama. They are adorable illustrations and brightly colored yet simple so a small child isn't overwhelmed by a lot of information. Each page has one or two short sentences that rhyme and if you read it enough times, simple enough to remember without looking at the page. Very cute and cheery. His six year old brother even enjoys reading this to him because it is simple enough for him to read without needing to ask for help on the words. Highly recommended.

cute, but shorter than Llama Llama Red Pajama
We loved the original Llama Llama Red Pajama book, and I was looking for a morning book to read to my little one so I was happy to see Wakey-Wake. It is much shorter than the original book, with far fewer words but it is cute and keeps our little one's attention. The price is very reasonable and it was hard to find specific good morning books. This one talks about getting ready for your day, finding clothes to wear, giving a kiss goodbye, and having a good day. I would recommend, but still love the original best!

My baby loves this book so much, I am not sure why! The illustrations are nice and colorful, but many books out there have such colorful pictures! Giving it 5 stars because it never fails to make my baby smile! :)

Even though my child is a bit old for this book, we love it! Perfect gift for a child who starts school, as they crave stability and routine. Llama llama does everything you do on a school day morning: waking up, getting breakfast, getting dressed etc. (even has that “hurry up, we’re late!” moment!) As an adult, I love llama llama book for that very reason, it’s not about rainbows and unicorns, it’s about children’s every day struggles, and this one is no exception.

It’s. Good book. This shorter version is perfect for younger kids. It’s a fun quick read. My kids enjoy it. It’s a board book so it’s sturdy. No issues
