Little Sheep Hot Pot Soup Base (Plain), 130-Grams (Pack of 5)

Little Sheep was one of my first hot pot experiences and has remained the best for years. Every time I would go, we would take the remaining soup base (topped off of course!) home and use it to make awesome soup the next day. Always looking for a way to take the restaurant experience home, I ran across these soup bases on Amazon and ordered them. Each pack has several packets with seasoning, oil, and herbs and berries. The resulting soup was almost exactly like the standard Little Sheep soup base! I'd love to see the price drop a bit, but at ~4.50 per pack which makes enough for +4 hearty meals, its a good deal and a great item to have in the pantry! If you are like me and love the flavor that they berries add, but don't like the bitterness of eating them, I ended up buying Prepworks by Progressive Stainless Steel Mesh Tea Ball to hold the berries and other herbs I'd rather avoid winding up in my spoon. So far it has worked great and is pretty easy to use. Cleaning can be a pain and requires a good brush to get everything out.

Killer soup base. Not as flavorful as the restaurant, but with some chicken broth it's fantastic for home hot pot dinner. I put 12 cups of water 4 teaspoons chicken broth powder and about 25 garlic cloves and a finger of sliced ginger. Try a teaspoon or two of dehydrated minced onion to add a great onion-y flavor. I Add extra oil (canola, etc) since you doubled the water. If you can simmer the broth for about 2-3 hours prior to use with garlic and mushrooms (if you like them) the flavor is even better. The garlic diffuses into the broth and you can even eat some of the garlic bulbs as they are mellowed out (smell/flavor) and can be mushed with a fork or spoon (like roasted garlic at the I talian restaurants). We use Chinese cake noodles instead of ramen type noodles as they soften quickly, buy stay intact the whole time you're eating, They don't turn to a glutenous mush when we leave them in the pot for a while. Have this on auto-reorder so I can eat this once a week!

Very good hot pot base, maybe a little to salty for our taste, other than that no complaints.

When I bought this item it was cheaper than the price listed recently. It was cheaper than what I would spend at my local korean market which is a great deal. I love this brand and have gone to their restaurants and its a great place to get lunch or dinner. Hot pot has become a staple monthly treat for dinner in my house and this brand is a favorite. I try out other brands and its just something about Little Sheep that it delicious. Other flavors are also delicious! Try to get these when its under 30 and its a good deal.

Good taste for making Hit pot souo

Amazing as you can imagine, an easy way to make Sweat / non spicy soup at home. Very very good, mild soup I put the Little Sheep content, rice wine, chicken stock, and water. The content is very concentrate, but as the hotpot is a process where you add water to dilute the taste, IT NEED MORE WATER THAN THE BACK INSTRUCTIONS, EASY FIX, put more water equivalent up to half of your liquids, wait until it boils and add raw ingredients. You would cook meats on the spicy and Noodles on the mild for richer experience. In the picture I did YingYang hot pot, hot and mild soup. Package arrived fast and as purchased. As soon I’ll do the hot pot I’ll update the review.
