The Gel-Cumulus 22 running shoe is the recommended choice for neutral runners who want a soft and flexible daily trainer with a great fit. This update features a one-piece superior mesh combined with a seamless 3D printing structure that balances support and comfort around the foot, giving you an excellent fit right away. Flytefoam midsole is softer than the previous version for comfortable riding. Under the heel where the foot hits for the first time the ground has been redesigned to better insulate the impact. This new heel design has deeper grooves on the forefoot and a softer midsole foam to give you a soft drive. A durable AHAR rubber sole has been placed in key contact areas to help the Gel-Cumulus 22 shoe withstand a ton of miles.

Exactly what I needed!
Okay, I just got these today, but it was perfect timing. I wanted them for archery and we were just getting ready to go to the range. I put them on and off we went. Now, they were a bit difficult to get on the firs time, because I had to adjust the shoelaces for my high arch. But that's exactly why I bought this particular shoe- for its arch support. I ended up with almost not enough shoestring to tie them, but I managed. Spent a couple of hours shooting, then we went shopping and out to lunch. So I did a fair amount of walking in them even if it was the first day. I am almost certain I am going to love these long-term. The first hurdle was, after being on my feet for a couple of hours, then getting in the truck, and getting on my feet again - the tops of my feet did not hurt. Last weekend in my Nikes, my feet were killing me in this same scenario. When we got home just now I took them off and the tops of my feet still do not hurt. This is a godsend for me, and I will be wearing these to work as well as for archery, I'm pretty certain. They look nice and plenty of room in the toe area, which was important to me. I ordered a size 9, my normal size, and they fit fine. I wore a normal sock, not heavy duty, with them.

My ride or die Asics
Tried a bunch of other, newer Asics models and had to go back to my ride or die Gel Cumulus 22s. Second pair, perfect fit and helps me avoid knee and hip injuries for running.

Nice! Comfortable.
The shoes are pretty in appearance. Lightweight. I have not tested whether they are waterproof yet, but hoping they serve well. The only thing I would note is that they run small in sizing. I usually wear a 7 or 7.5, but after reading the reviews decided to order an 8. I'm glad I did because they fit just right, but are snug. If I had gone with my usual sizing, they would have been too small for sure.

Great shoe…once worn in
My second pair of this particular shoe. Initially it fit very different then my first pair (that I absolutely loved!). They seemed to have much more cushion/foam on the walls of the shoe and the tongue. It resulted in the shoe feeling too tight, like it was hard to tie the laces it was so tight. I’ve kept with them for over a month and now that they’re worn in they (almost) fit like my first pair. Still slightly snug but hopefully the cushioning will wear in more.

True fit, generous toebox, very comfortable - Lives up to all the online magazine reviews
I never buy shoes online without trying them somewhere first, because I am hard to fit and picky! But I needed these (old shoes were discontinued and unavailable) and the current situation prevented me from going to a store. I read many reviews to try to figure out the right brand, model, and size, including pro reviewers as well as regular customers. This design is very good for neutral or slightly supinating (under-pronating) runners, offering good cushioning and just enough support to discourage an off-balance stance. My feet are wide in front, narrow in back. I also like plenty of vertical room in the toebox. The fabric seems sturdy but flexible and stretchy. This shoe provides both width and decent height in front, with a light internal reinforcement that lifts the fabric at the toe. Gel and cushion seem ample in back and adequate in front, not a supersoft ride but not at all jarring. Flexible soles with enough grip to handle different paved and unpaved surfaces made my first excursion very good. I mix walking and running, and it seemed to work for me at both paces. Regarding fit: I wear women's US 8.5M in most sports shoes, 8 in dress shoes. The 8.5M is absolutely the right size for me, with room for socks. I would say it is a true fit, but because of the generous toe area and the flexible fabric, it feels more spacious than narrower-cut shoes of the same size. Because of my thin ankles and narrow heel, I use the last lacing hole to snug it up. I am delighted they are working out so well for me.

Trying to get them to you may be a problem, but good fit when I finally got them
I ordered these shoes on Fri. Oct. 16, 2020. Amazon says that I will get them by the 20th. Good I thought, I was out of town when I ordered but I would be home by the 18th. Monday night on Oct. 19th, the night before they are to arrive I check the tracking information to see where they are. Wow! Keep in Mind I live a little North of the Dallas/Fort Worth area: My shoes left Ohio late Sunday, by early Monday they were in Houston TX, then went on to Humble, TX, then BACK to Ohio. Come Tuesday Oct. 20th,(delivery day) I get an email saying they will be delayed and to expect them Oct. 21-22, 2020. These are Wide Asics, you know the ones that are never in the stores. Stores only carry ugly wide shoes if you are lucky to find that. They promise I can get a refund or replacement, so, we shall see. 1 star rating until I actually get the shoes.Update on Oct 21st, 2020: My Wide Asics arrived and they fit! What a difference a little extra room in the toe box makes! I went out on my 3 mile walk wearing them and my toes did not hurt when I got back from my walk. So glad I took a chance on them. They look real nice too. They are a Neutral support shoe so I added a little orthotic insert and I went out for my walk. If you need to add a custom pair of orthotics, they will fit in these shoes. I only wish they had more choices in Wide. Now I will give it a 5 star rating.*

The best Cumulus they made
Yes I spent $90 on a pair of shoes that is 4 versions old. These shoes are that comfortable. I’ve worn this same pair until I got a hole in the toe box. They offer the best knee support and ankle stability, I can wear them for 14 hours plus and not feel it. I have an old knee injury so it’s not about trends or style for me, it’s what actually works. The new inflated foam version is terrible for my knee, but these are perfect.

No good
The quality is very good. However, these shoes really hurt my feet. I have a high arch and I have a hard time finding supportive shoes and these got great reviews. But I feel like I'm walking around on cement blocks. No support or cushioning at all. They make my legs and lower backache to. I can't believe people find these to be comfortable. Just didn't work for my feet I geuss. Oh well.
