Tactic Games iKnow Board Game Trivia Quiz

We bought this as a present for someone, and we just got to play it with them. It is very good. The board is small and simple, and the various pieces, whilst only plastic, have a refined and quality feel to them. It is all well made. The game is very good at taking the advantage away from the trivia nut in the room, because alongside actually knowing the answers, there is the betting side to the game. There are A LOT of cards, and each card has four questions on it in 4 main categories. After first hearing the question, which is often a general statement (for example, "a footballer" or "a make of car" or "a UK shoe manufacturer" or "a fashion designer" or "what century?" etc.etc.) you then decide how many clues you want to hear (1-3) before giving your answer. The fewer you opt for, the more you score if you get it right. Then you place a bet on the other players, saying whether you think they will get it right or not. So you can score points for knowing the answer and also for guessing other people will know it. If it is your turn to read the question, you don't play that round, but you get two points - a bit like passing GO in monopoly. So nobody gets stuck with no score. And the questions are very much UK centric, so there are no hopeless questions on obscure US baseball teams as is the problem with so many trivia games. It brings tactics in alongside general knowledge, and it is very cleverly done, giving everyone in the room a much more even chance of winning. Very clever, very entertaining.

Was bought as a birthday present for adult. 6 of us played it this week.... good fun once you've mastered the slightly complex rules. More a game of tactics than pure knowledge as you select the level you think you know the answer (lower level your give more clues) but also bet on whether you think your opponents will get it right or wrong.

The instructions are very poor but their website does go into a bit more detail. The questions are not exactly based on an English audience and I feel the UK edition only has the addition of the word American before some of the questions, of which there were a lot of in the game we played. One of the questions was media personality and the clues led to say it was a radio presenter. The word American was not in the question this time so we all guessed UK answers but it was an American. Now I get that some people may know this but we definitely don’t listen to American radio and had never heard of the person - this is just one example. In my opinion this is an American set of questions even though I bought a UK edition. Quite disappointed.

It is great family game but be aware, grandmas might get a bit competitive when playing. When it comes to questions like 'which Olympics?' it gets a little bit complicated but we always have great fun playing.

I love the concept, but it does get to a point with 2 players where you start meta gaming. Great for parties though.

havent played it yet but i was thinking surely if you just have to say the answer before it is read out then i would just say the answer of another person who i think has it right ie if im the last to go and the first person has the right answer i would just say same as him!!!!

The product was hardly used. In fact, three of the four packs of questions were still in their original wrapper, unopened. All other components as new. Thanks

Simple to learn. Not just about what you know, also about what you think others know. Enjoyed this and it is cheap.

We've had a lot of fun playing this at our house. The game is fun and winnable even if you don't have all the answers.

A l'instar de certains clients, je n'avais pas remarqué que le jeu était en anglais. Je ne l'ai pas ouvert de suite car il s'agissait d'un cadeau. Une fois offert, je remarque que la boîte du jeu est très fortement abimée (défaut de fabrication et non de transport). A l'intérieur le jeu était dans un état neuf. C'est extrêmement dommage qu'il ne soit pas indiqué plus visiblement qu'il est en anglais.
