It'll cost you £189.95 to own this series and you don't get much else
This series is split into two sections:Section one) "Dragon Ball Z Kai" which consists of four seasons that are comprised of episodes 1-98.Each season is £24.99 which comes to £99.96 if you buy all of them.Section two) "Dragon Ball Z Kai: The Final Chapters" which consists of three parts that are comprised of episodes 99-167.You can buy all three parts in one box set for £89.99 which is actually cheaper than buying each chapter individually because they're charging each part between £35-£40.At the time of writing this comes to a total of £189.95 if you wish to own the full series. If you can get past the price then this is a great buy... For the most part."Dragon Ball Z Kai" is the series remastered but is still in it's original 4:3 aspect ratio. The only extras you get from this purchase are some interviews with the US cast in the Season 2 extras."Dragon Ball Z Kai: The Final Chapters" has the aspect ratio of 16:9 and they did this by zooming in the show until the sides of the show touched the edge of the T.V. This means there is a little area that is cropped from the top and bottom of the screen and there is no way of changing this. The only extras with these are three video commentaries from the US cast for the episodes 112, 131 and 157.Overall you'll be paying a lot of money for a series and not much else but if you're only after the series that this is great for the quality alone.

Great nostalgic re-edit.
Great quality, great sound. Both English and Japanese dubs. The one thing that can be annoying is that the picture format is true to the original, more exactly 4:3, not 16:9 which is the modern standard.

Super Saiyan short & sweet
I like that I can now watch Dragon Ball on Blu-ray, but I think it was a mistake to remove some the grain, as the picture quality suffers from it, such as the loss of the vibrancy of colours. I would've liked the original so 4:3 aspect ratio, something we (the fandom) have been continually asking for but never seem to get. The sound quality is good, the new dialogue is fine, and the pacing is faster because it cuts out the filler. I wouldn't say it's better than traditional Dragon Ball Z, but if you wanted to watch the main story faster, like I sometimes do, it serves a purpose. I've also found that the shorter runtime also makes it far more watchable to newer, more casual watchers, such as a couple of people I know, which can't be a bad thing.
