Bulb Tester

I have had an AA battery bulb tester for many years which works beautifully, this tester is supposed to use a 9v battery but when Iloaded it and used it I found that not all bulbs can penetrate enough to form a connection.I overcame this problem by replacing the 9v battery with 2 x AAA batteries in opposite directions, adding a piece of silver foil to complete the circuit and putting a piece of cardboard between them to prevent movement.Everything now works and you can test fairy lights with longer tails!!!

Great little gadget - It’s helped me get my Christmas lights back up and running. Works well.That being said, it was fiddly to get a battery in, and in fact the end snapped off because of that. So not well made, but still 100% working and does the job so am v happy.

I've had one of these in the past. Excellent for testing Christmas light bulbs but not easy to find in the shops. Very easy to use just needs a 9v battery.

This is a very handy, easy to use tester. I keep one in the box with my spare Fairy light lamps.

It blew all of the light bulbs that I tested. The supplier did not respond to my query email.

Tested lots of fairy light bulbs,made the job easier.

Works ok. Slightly better than the previous one. It says for large bulbs but works fine on small xmas tree lights
