My old cable for my pool cover was broken, but cover still like new. Bought this cable to replace broken one. Now I have a cover that will give me several more years. This cable is better than the original.

This is a basic cable and winch that is similar to the cable and winch that comes with many pool covers. The coated cable is a great replacement for your damaged and fraying cable. If you need a replacement, this is a great option.

Being honest, I don't have an above ground pool. What I do have is a car that I store for the winter with a car cover that keeps blowing off. I got this kit because I thought I could string the wire where the worn out elastic was supposed to go in my cover and cinch it tight enough not to blow off anymore.I had some trouble feeding the cable through the place where the elastic was sewn in - but that wasn't the fault of the product. Once I did get it in place, the tensioner worked perfectly to tighten down the ends. Now the car cover will have to actually rip apart to come off the car. I'm very happy with this and it looks like it will last for quite a while.

This is a good value I think. The rope itself I think has the value alone. These ratchets are simple but work very well for getting this cable taught—a must have.

I'm actually using this to hold together a hackberry tree that has split down the middle of the main trunk. I've wrapped the cable around the trunk and used the ratchet to tighten the cable to make sure that the truck holds together and does not continue to split and fall over. This kit worked fantastically for that purpose. The cable is strong. The ratchet winch is holding taut.

This was fairly easy to use and worked well to close our 18 foot above ground swimming pool for the season. It was a reasonable price too! Would recommend!

I am using this to support a 100 foot CAT6 cable to a shop about 90 feet away. I know wireless is the better option but sometimes you need a solid connection, in this case I needed POE (power over ethernet). This cable and tightener took up the job of providing arial support while the CAT6 came along for the ride. You may not want to build a zip line with this, but it can hold quite a bit of nonessential load. The coating is smooth and thick and this should be rust free for years.
