Enjoying with Sashimi
I’ve been cooking this rice using the short grain setting of my rice cooker (unrinsed) and adding homemade sushi-su for pairing with my sashimi. I love the flavor and texture as an alternative to my regular sushi rice and appreciate that it’s likely to be healthier because of the GABA content.

Tasty
We've almost gone through the whole 11lb bag already. It's been a great staple to keep in our pantry, for easy dinners. We just toss in whatever veggies and protein we have on hand and we're good to go.This rice is definitely better than the one I typically buy locally. It somehow tastes better. I always assumed rice is rice. I was wrong.2 thumbs way up!

Chopstick-friendly
This rice is very easy to pick up with chopsticks, even after rinsing off a lot of the surface starch (the instructions on the bag say to rinse it in the pot, but I use a colander, and then transfer and soak). The taste is kind of bland, and a little bright. The rice makes a very nice porridge (I do 8/1 stock/rice, with some onion flakes and ginger powder). The grains are smaller than the Japanese rice I'm used to getting. They are also stark white, with a very occasional brown one (like, maybe one or two grains in a cup). This is actually disappointing - the item picture shows lots of brown surface on the grains, and I usually get half-polished rice. The instructions on the bag are only sorta English, but understandable.I was surprised that the bag didn't have a zipper or a pour spout, but maybe that's an American thing.Overall, this is a lot of rice for the price, but not the best tasting rice I've ever had. The GABA is of course a nice upgrade.

there is a huge difference in taste between the color of this product
We really didn't like the White Gaba rice and I don't recommend it unless you're a professional. We cook in a CUCKOO rice cooker made in South Korea and it has a special program for Gaba rice. Before that, we bought brown Gaba rice, it's a little more expensive but it's a completely different product and it's super. There's also red Gaba rice, it's even more expensive, we haven't tried it yet.

Award winning and healthier than instant white rice. This is a nice family sized resealable bag of rice that will provide you with many tasty meals.

Tasty
This is some nice and tasty rice. It cooks really nicely in the rice cooker and is soft and fluffy. It tastes better and more substantial than just regular white rice. Very nice product.

Really Satisfying
Chewier than white rice but not as chewy or dense as brown rice.In other words, it's really satisfying! Very filling without feeling like you're going to be bloated.I've cooked it both on the stove as well as in my rice cooker. It's dependable and flavorful. The little flecks of brown give it an interesting and appealing look.

Good Enough, No Complaints
I was intrigued by this rice. I Googled it, to learn just why it was special. According to various websites, GABA rice is germinated, leading to it having higher nutritional value than regular white rice. It apparently makes it easier to digest, too. I have no idea how true any of this is! So I’m solely commenting on this as “rice.” It’s short-grained. Cooked a bit quicker for us than the directions, so keep an eye on it. It turned out a bit sticky and taste is a touch nutty, which I liked. Reheated in the microwave the next night just fine. I’m actually more of a basmati/jasmine rice fan, but this was a solid change. Not sure if the higher cost is worth it (or if the health benefits are dramatic enough), but product is and delivers as described.
