Was skeptical about this with the reviews...but...bought it anyway.I think I see and understand the negative reviews and have some things to add to help clarify.1st. I used this on metal...22g and it cuts it just fine...the reason I bought it was to cut squares of flooring to use as pads/silencer pads to quiet the steel weights in my test weight carts.I had pictures of me cutting the steel sheets and the flooring (vct or whatever they call that stuff) but can not find the pics this is all i could find.2nd. The flat outer non knurled wheel is adjustable...it need to be run in and have the same pressure against the other wheel as a pair of tin snips/hedge trimmer blades have against each other. Too loose and you will get the cuts like you see in the pictures posted....too tight and it will bind up and not cut well.3. Add a bit of oil to the blades to help the disks slide over on another.. remember you are tightening them to one another.4. Use a variable speed drill on a very very slow speed....the slower I went the better/smoother/straighter my cut was. Don't use an impact driver...5. Get the angle right on the drill and duct tape a paint stir stick to the back of it to let the stick ride on the metal and it hold your drill at the right angle to you can concentrate on steering and pushing. Plan your direction of cut...this tool operates the same way red and green snips do.....IT IS DIRECTIONAL WITH THE UP AND DOWN PUSH!Do those things and this little tool is a great little cutter. Don't think for a second you are going to use it for a construction tool or industrial use or even to cut all the panels on your new barn roof. But for the occasional cutting and light use this is a good little tool.For 20 bucks don't thing you are going to replace your kettle shears or nibbles or even your red and green wiss snips.

I made my own above ground planters ! This tool was super easy and fit perfectly on my ryobi drill . It cut a large piece of tin just down the middle , in half . Couldn’t have been better! 63 yr old can do it so can you !!

This did the job, eventually, although there's definitely a bit of a learning curve. Also, the screws on the mechanism itself could benefit from some loc-tite as they were very prone to loosening and if they loosen even a little bit the tool would stop feeding the wire (I was using this to cut hardware cloth) and thus stop working as it should. This made it somewhat frustrating to use. However, in the long run, it saved my hands so I found it worth the $20 although I would not spend more than that on it.

This sheet metal cutter is working really well and it is very easy to use. Very helpful and makes clear cuts. Makes your job easier and fun.Highly recommend.

That it is a perfect tool.

It will cut thin metal but not anything thick
