A Catalyst for Action and Resilience in Entrepreneurship
Noah Kagan's 'Million Dollar Weekend' is an indispensable guide for any aspiring entrepreneur. From the outset, Kagan challenges readers with the innovative 'coffee challenge,' designed to break down the fear of rejection by encouraging them to ask for a 10% discount on coffee. This simple yet profound exercise is not at all about saving money; it's a lesson in resilience and overcoming the mental barriers that so often hinder progress. The book delves deep into the psychological aspects of starting a business, recognizing that mental blocks are the primary obstacle for many. Kagan's insights into these barriers are enlightening, offering readers a clear understanding of how to navigate their own entrepreneurial journey with confidence. Furthermore, 'Million Dollar Weekend' addresses the common pitfalls of over-preparation and the quest for perfection. Kagan makes a compelling case for the value of action over excessive planning. His argument against over-reading and trying to know everything before launching is particularly striking. He suggests that many entrepreneurs spend too much time and resources on perfecting their ideas instead of testing them in the real world. The book advocates for a more practical approach, demonstrating how initial concepts can be tested with minimal investment, often for $20 or free, rather than waiting for perfect conditions that may never come. This book is not just a read; it's a call to action. It urges readers to move past planning and into doing, highlighting the importance of real-world experience over theoretical knowledge. I am inspired by Kagan's approach and plan to apply his strategies in the coming weeks, testing out ideas rapidly to see what works, rather than getting caught up in the minutiae. In conclusion, 'Million Dollar Weekend' is a powerful, actionable book that has the potential to transform the way aspiring entrepreneurs approach their ventures. It's a must-read for anyone ready to tackle the mental hurdles and practical challenges of starting a business. Kagan's insights are not just valuable; they are essential for anyone looking to make a meaningful impact in the entrepreneurial world.

Just Get It Done!
Noah Kagan is the David Goggins of business start-up. Fearless. And when you read this book you'll realise there really is nothing to fear except the gremlins inside your own head. Get over them. Noah removes the other fears people have - Will it work? What if I lose money? Will anyone buy? His whole book is geared toward making sure these issues don't arise because of how he tells you to set up and launch. If you really want to create your business quickly (and it's been proven that the less time between idea and execution, the more likely you are to follow through) I believe you really could do it in a three-day weekend by following Noah's book, provided you clear the decks to do so. This is even if you don't currently have a finalised business idea. That's why you need the Friday as well. I DO have my business idea and am some way along the road to creating it but there were still a great many pearls of wisdom I got from this book so I'd recommend it to anyone who needs a rocket up them, regardless of what stage they're at. Noah writes as I imagine he speaks and what you hear is what you'll get. This results in a dynamic and energetic journey, although still well-structured in steps to follow. I intended to send the book to my sister when I'd finished but in the end I found it too valuable to part with so I had a second copy sent to her and I'm looking forward to discussing the content with her and seeing what she comes up with. Thank you, Noah, for taking the time to write this book. I'm sure you had a lot of fun writing it and I found it an entertaining read in addition to the value it contains.

Easy to read and insightful
A practical introduction to starting a business. Well written and researched with well designed exercises. Mostly avoids the pitfalls of many entrepreneurship books. Only weakness of the book is the slight reliance on drawing from examples drawing from US, young, male, single and student entrepreneurs. Next edition needs a good review for diversity and inclusion. Overall it's a book that is well worth reading.

urgency, fun, inevitability and practicality!
The best testimonial for a book is 'it changes your life.' No, it should change your day, today, now. Even better, the first chapter should already make your day, get you moving, and have fun. Noah is not only showing me a map, teaching me to use a toolbox, but also giving me permission to start a million-dollar business. On Tuesday afternoon, I saw the book on Tim Ferriss's blog. Tuesday evening, I checked out, got the example, breezed through the first chapter, and immediately purchased the book (thanks to Kindle, I don't have to wait until the next morning, get on the train to the local bookstore, only to realise they don't have the book, who knows, or wait three days for Amazon delivery). This book is all about urgency, fun, and practicality. Wednesday morning, I did the first challenge and got $4 into my bank in less than 24 hours after purchasing the book. This is not because I sold anything or built anything yet. I just asked. Who would have thought hm? For the following two days, I religiously and seriously did every single challenge. Anytime I thought to postpone the task to tomorrow, I heard him command 'NOW, not how.' Okay, okay, got it. Gotta do it now. Or else, how am I going to have my million-dollar business this weekend? I'm going to update more later. I scrolled down and saw some other readers below who made their own £1000 in the first two weeks. I trust that genuine without a doubt. Of course, if you really put in the work, follow the instructions, a million-dollar business is inevitable! So, I'm going to stop my review now and get back to my work. I have to hurry up to kick off my business before another thousand, million other new readers come and make it. Noah is changing the landscape of entrepreneurship. Watch out and be hurried, NOW, not how.

Some good ideas but won’t translate for everyone
This book was an interesting read. He has some good ideas and concepts on how to take the next steps into launching a business. However there are still gaps to bridge that lots of people won’t be able too.
