I loved the fact that it worked perfect for a germination light for my seedling. It was easy to put together and affordable for my budget. Great light .

Don't look at this straight on. It is *incredibly* bright. If you've ever looked right at the sun in summer, it is at least that bright. I think the concentrated blast at one particular piece of the spectrum makes it worse. I looked at it for less than a second and I got a mild headache and I saw dots for 10-15 minutes. It was a bad move. I'll have to comment on the effectiveness for plants later on, but for a mere 14 watts, the intensity of light this thing puts out is literally stunning. LEDs are highly directional, so you can look at it mostly straight on even, without a problem, but just not dead on. As long as you don't do that, it won't bother you. I think the plants are going to respond to this well. Since it is so directional, though, I'm considering getting a second one to put right near it. The light does not fan out like a halogen/incandescent, or scatter like a fluorescent. It's halfway to a laser. Save your retinas and take my advice on this one.

While I have appreciated the size and efficacy of this grow light, the plug to get the light to turn on is of extremely low and poor quality. As in, my lights won't stay on unless the plug is angled/pulled upwards.I ordered two of these light fixtures and both have the exact same problem. I would not recommend wasting your money on this brand.

terrible. they work for a little it then stop working altogether. and they are not offering me a refund. BAD SERVICE. and terrible product. never ordering this again.

I decided to buy this because I needed a larger coverage area and more intensity of light for some of my plants. I seen this and thought it would be worth a try because the price is pretty good.The bad news, and reason for only 4 stars is because a section was broken out if the side of the panel. There were a few plastic pieces in the package and I don't know if it was handled badly during transit to me or what. But it works great though. I noticed some kind of small winged insect embedded within the plastic/resin of one of the LEDs.That was the cool thing that makes this light so unique. I own a lot of LED products since LED is such a favorite illumination technology of mine. I knew that these LEDs were made of a resin, but apparently a bug got into the process of making one of the LEDs used in the light that was sent to me as my order.Even though the housing of this light was a bit broken, it still has this fascinatingly rare insect in one of the LEDs and the whole device works well. One minor improvements that I would recommend is to have some air vents in the area of the power supply because it gets about 132 degrees Fahrenheit.But this is a good product idea though. I wish that there was a version with wider angle of light emission because this one is very narrow. I see that this company makes a red version and a red/blue versions, I wish this company made a white version with at least a 90 or 120 degree angle.This is still a good product idea for it's price.

Had this unit for a cpl months and it's working well. I use it on my cactus and they love it. Growing and looking healthy.I also use this panel as a health/beauty device. It's the same frequency as some very expensive red light thearpy panels that are out there. Light weight and works well for use on lager/whole body areas. Seen great improvement in my skin tone, tightness and a reduction in cellulite. There's plenty of info out there on the benefits and validity of this type of therapy.No on off, just plugs in. Very basic but meets my needs.
