Solid, bright, glove friendly magnetic switch
I got my GN-T41 in July, 2022 for lobster diving off Miami and it worked great! I don't dive anymore, but it continues to work great in February, 2026, still with the original 2000 mAh battery. It's my go-to lamp for everything outdoors. I used it for over an hour this morning for some low tide shelling on the Florida gulf coast. Constantly on and shifting from low to high brightness as needed along a pitch black beach, it only used about 20% battery. It's very bright. The magnetic switch is brilliant, but it does seem to slowly drain the battery over a week or two, so I just remove it when not in use. The light is also easy to use with gloves. So far, it works exactly as the day I got it with no signs of corrosion or loss of waterproofness. Although I don't take it to any significant depth anymore, its only submersion has ever been salt water.

Bright lil light for diving
This was a great purchase for a day dive light. Its quite bright to look in all those nooks and crannies. LED technology has really improved the light quality over the old incandescent or halogen which used battery quickly and the light was more amber. Although this light is very bright its not a night dive light, but great for a backup more like it. I believe most would prefer a beam that's wider spread / flood like, this is very focused. Not saying you couldn't, but I would prefer a flood. Battery life at full charge I used it on 2 close to hour dives then it began to dim. I had this on various 100+ft dives with out any leaks or flooding. I recommend you lube o-rings with a small bit of silicone grease and carefully thread on cap, aluminum housing can easily cross thread if not. The on/off switch can trip easily and a rubber band wrapped around a couple times can help alleviate that so you don't burn battery when in your bag or at depth, as others have discussed. I charge mine every night prior to dive so its fresh. Remove battery when storing or not using for extended time. Set came with charger, flashlight, lanyard, manual and a spare set of o-rings. Longevity unknown, but I have had mine for a few months now on 50+ dives and its still going strong. Not ideal for photography, needs defusing and will put a hot spot on subject as seen in pic attached. Overall I would recommend this light, great quality and value compared to dive shop at this point.

Great Light - EXCEPT FOR THE SWITCH
I bought this as my first ‘dive light’ and it works great as advertised. Really bright, solid, good size and feels like it’d last. After 20 dives last month (About half were deep) it’s holding up well. That being said – half the time the flashlight turned on in my bag and wasn’t charged enough for the dive. The only thing wrong with this light is the switch – it turns on with anything it touches – there is absolutely no detent, or anything to keep it from sliding on. And yes – it gets hot when on in the dive bag. Nothing melted, but still worrisome. Now that I’m home and looking at other lights, I saw all of the reviews with exactly the same issue – so I’ll be trying the rubber band or Velcro tricks mentioned, and use this one as a backup light. EDIT 5/10/22 *********** Using the rubber band trick has turned this into a great cheap light! I actually have bought another one for my wife last year. IT would be nice if I didn't have to use the rubber band, but it's a good cheap fix. Super bright and easy to use!

Review after 60 Dives
I bought this light to use for my divemaster internship in the Red Sea and dived with this light on every dive. My initial impression was the construction of the light seemed pretty robust. After 60 plus dives, the outside is still in great condition other than the black anodized coating is wearing away which is normal and to be expected after heavy use. The brightness of the light seemed good for night diving and ok for caves in daylight diving. What I did not like is that the light was unreliable. sometimes the light would not work. I would slide the switch to the "on" position and no light. I would move the switch back and forth, shake the light underwater, and twist the battery cover back and forth to try to get illumination without any success. I do not know if this is because of the switch or battery contact. No water was ever in the battery compartment, nor were there any signs of corrosion. This occurred about half of the dives. The battery also took 7 plus hours to charge when I did charge it. I would get about 45 minutes of run time on the mid brightest setting before the battery was drained, I also did not like the slide function of the switch even though it allowed for adjustable brightness. I cannot even count how many times the light was accidentally switched on while clipped to my harness. I'd take off my gear and notice it was switched on or my dive buddy alerted me to it being on. For these reasons, I would not recommend this light for diving due to it's reliability issues. I have ceased using this light and opted for a more reliable light for diving.

Great dive light
Update: the company reached out to me and replaced the original light I received stating that it was defective. I have used the replacement light on multiple dives now with no issue, and it is truly a great light. One of the other divers on my most recent trip had the light as well and loved it. It’s the brightest light in the water by far at this price point. I bought a different light for backup that was much pricier and is not even close to this brightness. Highly recommend and will be purchasing a 2nd for backup. The At first glance this is a 5 star product. I used it for the first time on a 140ft dive and it worked perfectly. Super bright and lightweight. 2nd dive, same story. 3rd dive (all in day 1 of using this), the light is no longer bright and turns on and off unexpectedly when it’s on the brightest setting. I couldn’t find any water inside so not sure what caused it to change so quickly, but will be returning.

Very good flashlight. I tried it during daytime dives and it really shines light on the shadows of a sunny day. The switch is very easy to use. The battery charger is included and is handy.
