Throwing Hawk, Won league with it
This was my first Hawk purchase, specifically for throwing. You will see a couple complaints that are misfounded:1. Head keeps falling down the handle.A. This is called a drop head axe and is designed to behave this way,(this is designed for throwing) all you have to do is tap the head back down to the end of the handle or or "sling" the head back to the end, where the wedge shape of the handle holds it in place.2. the blade not being very sharpA. Throwing axes should not have a sharp blade, sharp narrow blades dull quicker and chip easier causing bigger issues when throwing. You are getting a throwing Axe with this guy, it is what it is designed for and it does it well, I won my very first league placing first with it. The throwing style can be a bit different to heavier axes, but it works well!

Again whisky and Amazon purchases.
I really need to stop getting handed the phone by my son when I am drinking whisky with my friends or talking those clowns with my phone near by. Yea so we went axe throwing.. I was like i only own 1 throwing axe I live with 4 other people.. so ok. Now I own 10. There a lil light weight for my triplets. I know right. But there 12 the girls have a bit of an issue getting it to stick. But it does work I put a slightly better edge on them. So that seems to help. For not really needing 10 of these. There great.

Low quality
This is my second throwing hawk. I've had the first one for about 10 years, it has thousands of throws behind it and is still a fantastic throwing hawk. This one being reviewed here is not much better than garbage. The finish on the steel head is terrible, the inside that contacts the handle is very rough and unfinished and quickly started destroying the wooden handle. I had to spend quite a bit of time with a metal file to take the sharp rough edges off it. The wooden handle didn't come close to fitting the head, I had to spend quite a bit of time sanding that to shape it correctly to fit the head. There is no edge whatsoever on the axe and that took an hour with a file and a stone to get a medium edge on it. Finally, after all that, I was ready to throw it. Huge disappointment. It just doesn't feel balanced. I throw the two axes one after the other. I cannot miss with the older one. I cannot hit, or rather make stick, the new one. It will not stick in the wood when the other one has no problem. Upon closer inspection there are some issues that might be causing this: the metal around the handle is significantly thicker on this one compared to the older one so more of the head weight is to the back, not up near the edge. I thing this significantly affects the balance in a negative way. Also there is a noticeable bend in the blade. I don't know if it came this way, or if it resulted from throwing. Either way it is unacceptable.Don't waste your money.

Ok, but not worth the cost.
The fit of the handle to the head was very rough, and the eye of the head was also unfinished, needed to be polished out. The handle is almost too small for the head. Can be made to work, but for the money maybe shop around.

Well made product
Don’t know what this professional guy in the reviews was talking about if he even is a professional , I thought this product is great and well made , very sturdy , perfect for throwing , very well made , good for camping or to cut some wood or just mess around with.

Exactly as advertised
The tomahawk arrived on time and it looks and feels great. The grain in the hickory handle is straight as an arrow and the length is perfect. The head slipped onto the handle with a snug fit (no gaps at all), it looks very cool as well. The linseed finish of the handle is very nice. The tomahawk is exactly as advertised. I am very pleased with it. I would highly recommend this Throwing Viking Throwing Tomahawk.

Buyer Beware!
Do not buy this piece of junk. It was not even assembled when I bought it. The head of the axe comes right off of the handle. The quality of the axe head is horrible. This product is made in India and most likely cost pennies to make.
