Okay Alongside Other Resources
Although comprehensive it is by far not the most comprehensive and so cannot be used as a primary resource. Even Sapphire is not included in this book which is surprising to say it is so popular and is the author's favorite stone. For such a thick reference book I was surprised to find that there is no Index - just a Contents. This is not enough when you want to find all the pages in which a particular crystal is mentioned. This means you have to flick through the 368 pages to search for what you want and may not even find it if it doesn't have its' own section. Taking Sapphire again as an example, it is not listed but is briefly mentioned in other Crystal's descriptions. You would therefore not know unless you read the whole book to find the mentions. As one of her students I do not agree with the author's strategy of pleading with her students to leave reviews - especially those who have proudly shared photos of their Crystalpedia books and expressed their excitement in her Facebook group This is not fair in my opinion and should not be necessary. There are enough students to boost the ratings to 5 star very quickly without a true representation of the general population on Amazon or other book sellers.Despite the above points, the book is aesthetically pleasing and has some beautiful images. The author has made the book applicable to both the beginner and the more advanced practitioner.
