For me this film is only second to Fallout in the MI series and preferred it to the more recent, eighth entry. Review: Hugely enjoyable - Dead good! Love the MI series and Tom is so good at what he does!

One of the better franchise installments
Mission: Impossible - Dead Reckoning is a great addition to the franchise. It doesn't quite reach the excitement of its predecessor, Fallout, but it certainly delivers the usual mix of action, set pieces and suspense. This time around, we follow Ethan Hunt and his IMF team in a race against time, as they track down the AI 'Entity', before its cataclysmic power falls into the wrong hands. Despite some scenes being a little long-winded, particularly the third act aboard the train, it still delivers a spectacle. Tom Cruise does what Tom Cruise does best - entertains. With breathtaking stunts, especially the motorbike jump off the mountain, the ensemble cast gets to have fun with the story and locations. There are a few unexpected twists and turns, and plot elements to keep action fans entertained. The picture quality and sound on the Blu-ray is excellent, and the additional extras are worth a watch.
