Excellent Phone and Service!
I brought this phone a month ago and I'm extremely happy with it. It arrived very quickly which I was very happy about but unfortunately it arrived with a cracked screen. I contacted the seller though and had a new one delivered with next day delivery. The phone itself is excellent, Windows and the Apps were both easy to use once I got the hang of them and the camera is a good enough quality for what I use it for. I've had no problems with the touch screen which is great as I've had a touch screen phone before and found it difficult to respond, not this one though! The internet runs smoothly and the sound quality when I listen to music is excellent. The only problem I really have with this phone is that I use the internet and play music on it quite a lot when I'm out and about and so the battery life drains quite quickly, it's not too much of an issue it generally lasts until I get home and I charge it at night. All in all an excellent phone for the price and I would defiantly recommend it!

Great entry level smartphone
This is my first smartphone - I tend to be 5 years behind everyone else in terms of technology. I particularly didn't want an iPhone because I didn't want to learn a new operating system, and having just bought a laptop with Windows 8, I thought this would suit me well. It helps if you're familiar with Windows 8 but it's not essential. Download the userguide from the internet (the phone comes with the most basic instruction booklet) and you'll be fine. The phone itself does feel a little insubstantial, light in weight and a tiny bit plasticky but that could be due to me being used to the Nokia 6700 classic which is made of some kind of metal and is heavy and solid. The phone does everything I want - calls are clear, display is bright and if you're middle-aged like me and need reading glasses, it allows you to enlarge the font for texting. The only game I play on it is Solitaire (you need to download the app from the Store) so I can't comment on the gaming quality. I imagine it would be good for playing music through headphones (supplied) but as I have a hearing impairment, I don't use this facility. I would like ringer and alert volumes to be louder, I have them on maximum, but that's just me. There is a good selection of apps from the Store, in my view. The only reason I don't give it 5 stars is due to the battery life. I am by no means a heavy user but the battery lasts only about 36 hours on average. In summary, this is a great basic smartphone, but if you've been used to something more sophisticated, you will probably find it frustrating. When I upgrade, I am sure I will stick with Nokia Lumia and just get a bigger, better model. Can't say fairer than that.

Perfect for new & experienced users
I had the previous Lumia and loved it. Sadly it broke & I couldn't get it replaced on my contract. So I decided to go online & buy a new phone.I bought this one because of the low price but also because I had read alot of good reviews. The phone arrived very quickly (it took about 2 days) and I love it. Not only have I had a lot of compliments about it, the easy handling & the quick reactions of the phone have actually converted a few people over to it.This phone is brilliant for people who have never had a smart phone as it is so easy to use & it is actually the first smartphone I have had in years that comes with an instruction manual. It is also great as a back-up phone as it is so cheap if you are prone to losing/breaking your normal one. I use this everyday & I have had no problems in any area. The MP3 player is great, the screen is great & the list of Apps is increasing every day.I totally recommend this phone to everyone.

Bye bye Nokia
I've been a loyal Nokia customer for years, but I am now to the end of this journey. After several problems with the battery of Lumia 800 (apparently I wasn't the only one), I decided to buy this phone, that it looked basic, but overall OK.Well, my month old Lumia 520 phone screen cracked in my jacket pocket a week ago (not a major problem, it looked more like a thin hair, I could live with it); but yesterday the touchscreen stopped working, so my phone was useless. Luckily under warranty - or at least I thought so... Since there is a "physical damage", the warranty doesn't cover the problem, even if the two events are unrelated, The Nokia Customer Care (they should call it "Nokia, I don't care about the customer" though) wasn't able to explain me why I had to pay to change the whole display (I can live with a thin crack) when you can repair the problem under warranty.Bad phone, worse customer experience, bye bye Nokia!! I'll be happy to spend more than the 50£ you asked me on a durable phone with a better service.

Think I got a faulty phone
Phone looks good and was easy to set up. Probably is a good phone, but the one I received got stuck on flight mode and then eventually went to a blank blue screen and failed to work . Having to return it and get a refund.

Good value for money
This is my first smartphone and I am really enjoying it. I have no idea how windows compares with Android, but the windows operating system works for me. I nearly sent it back when I couldn't open the back, and then after minutes of frustration I followed the instructions very precisely and discovered the back comes off with ease, though I suspect if I were to remove it too frequently it might break. Easy to make phone calls (on speaker with great volume), send texts (which are displayed as a thread format) and download (and remove ) apps. I have been able to download most of the apps I would want.A few downsides though: the camera isn't great- not really worth taking photos with; no front camera so no video skype calls; and no capacity to run Nokia City Lens which is an app I really like. Finally, you are limited to 3G, and with 4g becoming available now, I shall be replacing the phone soon. My wife spent a hundred euro more and bought the Nokia 820 which has a great camera, has a front camera and has 4G - I wish I had done the same.
