NOT exactly plug and play with WIN10
Ok, in fairness I am still messing with it trying more stuff, however I can say it's definitely NOT a "plug and play" thing for Windows 10. Tried to make it work with Quartus II SP2 Web Edition ( free ) .. it's a nightmare .. MAYBE it works with the 32 Bits version of Windows 10, that I cannot test, but it definitely does NOT work straight with the 64 bits version. First of all you need to find and download ( from Altera ) two "special" 64 bits version of certain DLL or the "Altera USB service" will NOT start. Then even with that, tried everything under the sun, it appears it can't see the JTAG chain no matter what ( yes even after adding pull up-down resistors as specified ). I'd be very glad to know if anyone made it work with Windows 10. Trying other ways, I still have a laptop with Win8 maybe I'll have more luck. Certainly there are PROBLEMS with the drivers/SW in Windows 10.
