This batting is about to make my life easier
Oh how I wish I knew about this batting last year when I made a full-size quilt for my eldest grandson. He doesn't like heavy blankets, so I bought the lightest weight poly batting I could find to use. He loves the quilt and he loves to snuggle under it, but it's still too heavy for him to sleep under for very long. A friend suggested I try this batting and she was so right. It's about to make my life easier for lots of reasons. It is so thin compared to anything else I've used, even sandwiched in between the top and bottom fabrics (see photos 1 and 2). Battings that I've used in the past have a tendency to be inconsistent in the thickness throughout as I work with it because it's easy to stretch it out of shape without meaning to. The material of this cotton batting is solid and absolutely stable (see photo 3) so it's easy to pin the fabric to it without the batting or fabric shifting (see photo 4) . The thinner bulk of the quilt will make it far easier for me to quilt because I am unable to use a quilting frame and have to stitch the whole quilt in my lap!Since the batting is stable, you can leave up to an eight inch gap between stitches without worrying about the batting falling apart over time. I have a small baby quilt I'm making for my next project and with this batting I can stitch only around the characters and the edges of the quilt and still be within the recommended eight inch stitch pattern. Because of that, when I'm finished with the quilt, both the front and back of the quilt will showcase only the characters and objects contained in the quilt block and they will be recognizable from either side because there won't be any additional stabilizing stitches sprinkled around that detract from them.

Affordable and good quality!
I'm really excited to use this! I've been looking for an affordable, large, single piece cotton batting for a Christmas tree skirt that I want to make. I have all of the other materials, but I was looking for the batting everywhere, and some similar ones were at least twice as expensive. Others were less expensive, but not always 100% cotton.I'm still fairly new to quilting, so I was kind of unsure about my purchase. It turns out to have been a really good choice. The batting is lightweight, seems fairly stable, and it's really soft. I'm going to assume that the listing is correct and it doesn't need to be washed before using it. I don't think it would make much of a difference for a tree skirt, but it would be if I were doing a quilt. It also sounds like I should have plenty left over for some small projects, which is really exciting!

Great value for the price
I have never tried Cotton batting before, I have always just used the thicker poly batting. I felt that with my newest quilt top I wanted something not so thick and bulky but still warm and cozy. This batting is perfect. It is ultra soft, perfect thickness and seems like it will be nice and warm without being bulky. The size was much larger than I expected it to be, you can see in my pictures the size. The top quilt piece is a queen sized flannel sheet the batting is underneath of the quilt top and then I have a grey cal king size sheet under that you can barely see the edge of under the batting. I just dropped off my quilt to a local quilter who will work her magic with her machine and she told me that it seems like very nice high quality batting and she is thrilled to try it out.

Really nice quality, good price, lightweight
A friend is making a quilt for me so, all by myself, I picked out the batting for it. I picked Angel Crafts Natural Cotton Batting for the price and features I liked. I don't like heavy blankets so lightweight is a must, and it is just right. Natural is a must, all good there too. The reviews helped too, thank you very much. I was so happy that she was very pleased with my choice, I decided to do a quick review. I asked her if I got the right batting, and she said she really likes it and will purchase some for herself too. She said to tell everyone that it has a really nice loft. Cannot wait to use my new quilt this winter!

Another good choice for quilt batting!
My order came one day after I placed the order! This has got to be the softest, smoothest 100% cotton batting I have ever bought. From the other reviewers, I knew to expect that it would be thin. This will be fine for baby quilts, wall hangings, and table runners. I might make more soup bowl cozies using the Angel Craft batting. So glad this product is manufactured in Maine!

Love this cotton batting
I absolutely love working with this cotton batting. It's so soft and you get a generous amount for a great price. Best of all it is made here in the USA.

Great Product
I ordered this for batting for table toppers - I wanted a softer, thinner batting as I was going to sandwich the finish instead of putting a binding on it. It is working great for this.

My long-armer loves tnis batting!
I ordered this batting because it said lightweight and soft. I wanted a quilt that could be used summer and winter. I loved it when it arrived but I don’t quilt my quilts, so I had no way of knowing if it was easy to work with. (I take my quilts to a long-armer to be quilted.)My long-armer loved this batting! She said it was very easy to work with, asked where I got it and took note of the brand etc. I think Angels Crafts and Sewing just earned an additional new customer. I know I’m happy.
