The Perfect Duffle
I bought an Eagle Creek day bag in 1996. I have used the heck out of that bag, using it every day to carry everything I needed as an ICU nurse. It was my portable locker!!! It still is as intact as the day I bought it.So when I searched duffle bags with wheels...and the name Eagle Creek came up...it was a no brainer. This bag is as beautiful as it is sturdy and well constructed. Good for Female or Male. Cool design is a plus.Ample space for my 12 day journey. AND it folds down into a 15x9 inch carry case for storage!! Once opened it is more than enough room. The wheels are big with treads, and super designed to fit right into the structure of the bag. I would rate this as overseas travel worthy. It comes in different sizes. The outside is wipeable, easy peasy. The color is great.I love this bag!!! And the price is right. And Eagle Creek always stands by their product, for ever...no matter what.

Very durable and versatile bag...
This is a great bag for traveling and for any college student. I purchased my first Eagle Creek Cargo Hauler Rolling Duffel for my son before he left for his semester abroad in Europe. It was one of the few bags I found that met the more restrictive international checked baggage requirements. When my youngest son left for college fall I bought another. The bag is very lightweight, but extremely durable. It includes heavy-duty zippers and plenty of grab handles. It's equipped with durable, oversized, treaded wheels so it can be used a rolling luggage, or it can be carried using the padded, removable backpack straps. When the bag is folded and placed in the storage bag that's included, the compact package stores neatly under a dorm room bed.

Hybrid bag, duffle and wheeled
Nice bag. Folds up to a small package. Which had some benefits. Due to that there is no backbone to it. Wheeling to around is not like using wheeled luggage with a stiff back. I would call it a hybrid between a duffel and wheeled. You get the big benefits of wheeled but miss others. Quality appears good. Thin and light but still seems durable for the thickness.UPDATE: It's been 5 years. I go on multiple trips a year, mostly for work. International travel. Bag has some wear on the bottom. I also use a small carabiner to clip the zippers together. It has worn faster than other bags I've had in the past. It's a far cry from the North Face Base Camp duffle in regards to durability. However, I love the bag. When I visit my partner's family in Brazil this bag really shines. The bag weighs almost nothing. We fly down with a lot of stuff. On the way back this bag folds up into it's own pouch and can fit in a carryon or one of our other checked bags. The benefits are huge but not for everyone. Know what you're buying and the tradeoffs you are making. If you need those benefits I recommend this bag. If you do not, then I'd reconsider.

A compromise, but a really excellent compromise.
I got this case for a trip where I had several flights that absolutely limited me to 20 kg (44 lb), and I had a bunch of photo gear (including tripod) that made that a difficult goal. This case is 3.6 lb, which made it possible. The case is a compromise, but it's a really good compromise. True, compared to my North Face Rolling Thunder 30", it doesn't roll as nicely, it doesn't have a rigid back or a pull-up trolley handle, and it's less sturdy. But, it's just over 1/3 the weight, just over half the price, has more capacity (90 vs 80 liters) despite being just a tad smaller, and it packs into a small stuff sack if necessary. The stuff it's made of stood up surprisingly well to a lot of planes, boats, buses, and baggage handlers. It's scuffed, but intact, and I won't hesitate to take it next time. It seems water resistant enough that I wouldn't worry about it in a moderate rain. And, it holds a ton of stuff! I got the blue/gray one, which is attractive and easy to spot on a luggage carousel. It has backpack straps (removable), though I never used them. It also has a excellent handles, both on the side, and two on the top that make it easy to manage two-handed. It has a second compartment that's accessible if the large main section is locked.Because it has no rigid back - just a small rigid piece at the bottom where the wheels are mounted - it probably wouldn't roll well if you don't pack it fairly full. Basically, the contents are what makes it rigid enough to roll well.To summarize, I love my super-sturdy North Face duffel, but this allowed me to bring 20% more stuff and still make weight. I was totally willing to live with the small compromises for that benefit.

Terrible bag for travel
This product is terrible for travelling. I bought it for travel throughout South East Asia. But, there are several flaws to this bag. First of all, the backpack straps are merely "straps." They don't work in any way to help carry the bag on your back. This bag has a terrible distribution of weight so all the weight will always be at the bottom of the bag (where the wheels are as well). I wish the wheels on the duffel were more useful to roll the bag. But, there is no proper handle to roll the bag. The handle that is there gives you blisters on your hands because of the texture. It is also fully attached to the bag so no extension is provided. Although this duffel is lightweight and seems strong, it is not ideal for travel.

Great duffle
This bag is great. Compact size when you store it and plenty of room when you have to travel. It held everything I needed for a 10 day trip to Hawaii. The bag traveled well and I didn't have any major issues with it. The only thing I don't like the the pull handle because it isn't quite long enough. When I pull the bag behind me, it hits my foot as I walk. Without the solid handle of more traditional luggage that happens. Other than that the bag is great.
